Centuries ago, a ring of pure silver was cast for the consort of a great queen. The interior of the ring was inscribed with elaborate runes granting the bearer the ability to affect the people around them. With the ring, her lover could entertain himself as much as he liked, but only with her permission. If she felt that he needed to stop, suddenly women who had been fawning over him would turn cold and brittle. He had to return to his mistress to find those experiences again. One day the queen became especially upset at her lover, for reasons that are not known, and he disappeared, and the ring with him.

Married women are completely immune to the power, whether or not they are happy in their relationship, but women who are too old or too young to be considered "of age" are only partially immune. While they are still influenced, any sexual component of the ring giver's feelings are stripped out, leaving less intimate feelings such as affection or annoyance.

Engagement Ring - Your fiancee has just given you an ancient looking silver band for your engagement ring, etched with intricate runes on the inside of the band. She hasn't yet said where it came from, but you assume it must have been passed down in her family for a long time. Whatever the source, the magic takes effect when she first places the ring on your finger and takes effect only when the ring is visible to the affected women.

Beware, however, until your fiancee willingly accepts the ring back from you to break off the engagement, even if you discard the ring, it will reappear on your finger whenever she thinks of you and can be difficult to remove.

Same as Partner - Eligible women near you will start to feel and behave towards you the same way that your fiancee does, though each in the context of their own personality. If your partner is horny, so will they be. If you partner is angry at you, so will they be as well. Your partner's kinks and sexual preference may also surface in women who would otherwise not be interested in such things.

Those who are immune to the ring's primary effect can will tend to ignore activity that stems directly from the ring's effects. However, if the ring's giver shifts in her feelings toward the wearer rapidly, even those immune may notice the rapid, unexplained shifts in attitude by those affected. If the wearer's partner asks a witness about the wearer's actions, she will likely have to be very specific in order to discover what actually took place.

As long as your partner remains unaware of the ring's magic, its effect on other women is minimized in her presence. Should she become fully aware, however, she will be able to influence what characteristics and how strongly the effect is felt as she pleases.
