Telophase I

Gracie hummed the Final Jeopardy music as you tore your eyes away from her long, pale legs long enough to think.

You just listed the stages of meiosis, but what does "haploid" mean again? There's "haploid" and "diploid," and apparently the cell starts diploid and ends haploid... Is that the reason it repeats; it divides once as a diploid and once as a haploid? Or does the change not happen until the very end, and it takes two divisions to get there?

"Time's up, John," she said in her deepest, smoothest Gameshow Host voice. "I'm gonna need an answer."

"We never said anything about a time limit!" you protested, but you were already as confident as you were going to get. "Telophase... I?"

"Fucking how?" Gracie laughed. "How did you know that?"

"I honestly didn't. I figured it'd be the end of one of the halves, but it was 50/50 which one."

"Yeah, that makes sense. I'll try and remember that."

Gracie set her flashcards down and shrugged.

"Pick your reward; you've earned it."

You looked her over; all you could see were her shirt and her panties -- was that a shadow or a wet patch? It suddenly occurred to you that she might've started with one more article of clothing than you, but then you noticed two sharp points in the middle of her small breasts... No matter what you picked, you were going to see some serious skin.
