An odd encounter before lunch

To use your time efficiently, your penultimate supervisory meeting is taking place in the SCR over lunch, so you pack up your things and leave your room, closing the door behind you. As you do so, you catch sight out of the corner of your eye of a young man who has just emerged from the office of a colleague, Dr. Renhouse. You don't recognize him and it takes a second to remember that he can't be a student of hers, because he's male. By this time, he's drawn level with you (he has to pass you to get to the stairs), so you try to stop him and ask him what he's doing here, but to your astonishment, as soon as you speak to him, he shoves you in the chest, knocking you back against the wall and hares off as fast as his legs will carry him.
