Righting yourself awkwardly, you dash after the mystery man, taking the steps two at a time, but you still only get to the ground in time to see him disappearing through the gate to the meadow. Starting to breathe heavily from the unaccustomed exercise, you follow, although you're definitely not gaining on him. He runs to the side, towards the trees and the old wall behind them, where a rope ladder has been draped over the top. This slows him down, but he still manages to get to the other side before you can grab him, yanking the ladder up after, so you can't follow.
