Chapter 15 by Johanna Johanna

What's next?

Time until the show flies by

You have never done anything like this before, even without the added expectation of humiliation. It should come as little surprise then that the mere day-and-a-bit that remains until you are scheduled to participate. Moments after you have submitted your details online (creating a profile by the way for ease of future navigation of the website) you already received a call from the show organisers to thank you for your participation (it is apparently very rare for them to be short of contestants at such a late stage, but occasionally this does occur) and talk you through some details. You already have some idea of what to expect, but you are grateful for the information nonetheless. You are also asked about any medical conditions or other factors they should be aware of. Finally, you are told how to navigate the complex filming location to the right spot.

The conversation and the forthcoming "date night" occupy your mind more or less entirely as you make your way home from work and through the evening and the next work day. Little is different and you are not subjected to any further adventures. You have already realised, however, that most of the impact of your changes will be quite hard to detect anyway. That said, facing your colleagues after the game they enjoyed yesterday is no easier... But you manage, faking a calm and professional attitude. And you again are quite certain On the first evening, which you spend alone, you really want to call your cousin to see how is she doing, but given the state of mind you are in, you decide to wait until after the show... Which you rather hope she will not be watching.

You are going to the show straight from work, so in the morning you take extra care over your outfit. You forgo a dress, opting for a thin jumper and a skirt instead, just in case you will lose items of clothing one a time. Your panties are modest, but attractive; you also put on a bra from the same set, even though you do not strictly require one.

You only start to properly come out of your daze when you begin looking for the correct place in the small city that constitutes the TV entertainment production facilities. It really hits you then that this is happening, here and now. Your nervous anticipation gives way to a mix of determination and terror. You only manage to overcome the latter after ensuring the Rulebook is still in your handbag. You really feel that you might turn and run without this ultimate protection. As you are though... You just about manage to make yourself start walking towards the large floor-to-ceiling glass doors with the right sign above them. You notice very quickly you are not the only looking-half-lost young Asian female heading roughly that way.
