World of Fetishes

World of Fetishes

Every nation has one.

Chapter 1 by Control Freak Control Freak

The stories you are about to read take place in a world very much like our own. However, there are a few major differences.

  • Every woman in the world has at least one fetish or sexual behavior that they are compelled to indulge in whenever given the opportunity. This urge manifests itself once a woman reaches sexual maturity around their 18th birthday, and persists for the rest of their lives. While some women do fight their own instincts, the urge is strong enough that it is considered mentally unhealthy to do so for long periods of time.
  • The fetish that a woman either fulfills or partakes in is tied to their genetics, with a variety that coincidentally roughly translates to the national boundaries of present-day Earth. Women whose ethnic identity has no known fetish are assumed to have one that has not yet been discovered.
  • A woman's predisposition to a fetish is tied to their genetics, so that their descendants still have a strong desire for it even if they grew up in and/or are citizens of another country. Women inherit traits fully (the trait is expressed at full strength) from each parent, fully inheriting only one trait per parent. Women inherit traits partially (the trait is expressed little enough to be ignored with effort) from each grandparent. Women inherit traits minimally (the trait is barely expressed and can be easily ignored if it has any effect at all) from more distant relatives.
  • Despite the appeal of interbreeding women to produce combinations of traits, ethnic groups retain distinct identities and appearances.
  • Breeding programs intentionally aiming to blend ethnic groups have succeeded in fully expressing more than two traits in women, but this requires effort and specific medical attention during each pregnancy. While this practice was popular in the past, reaching its height in the 19th and early 20th centuries, nowadays it is frowned upon, though still legal as long as consent is given by all parties involved.

These changes have resulted in a world that, while very much like our own at a glance, has several major differences throughout its history.

  • Women each having their own 'trait' that made them desired in one way or another by cultures around the world resulted in numerous trades and raiding bands throughout history spreading them across the world to any culture that so desired them. While the practice has (mostly) ceased in the modern world, this has left its mark in a larger amount of ethnic diversity in certain areas of the world, most noticeably 'melting pots' like the US and Canada.
  • Due to the overtly and usually public sexual behavior caused by women's urges, society is universally more open about sex and fetishistic behavior. In the US for example, prostitution and polygamy are legal throughout the country (though the latter is still rare outside of areas with high Saudi, Uzbek, or Mormon populations), and public indecency laws are more lax, though not absent entirely.
  • In part due to the above, and most women's lives and behavior being noticeably affected by their fetishes, women's rights and liberation movements have had a harder time getting traction. Though in most modern first-world countries women have almost equal rights to men on paper, sexist behavior is still common and accepted by society, and the idea of a 'professional businesswoman' is considered a relatively new concept. Attempts to change things are not helped by the fact that some groups of women prefer to be considered second-class citizens, whether they are willing to admit it to themselves or not.
  • Race play is a common fetish, though in most cases this is more a result of men preferring races that align with their own fetishes. In addition, despite recent efforts of advocacy groups different groups of women have different legal rights and exceptions, usually due to an attempt to accommodate their fetishistic behavior. On the upside, interracial marriage is both more common and more acceptable, and has been for far longer.
  • Due to health and legal reasons (at least officially), a woman's ethnic identity is important enough to be noted on any official government-issued identification such as driver's licenses and birth certificates, which has the added effect of making the average person more aware of their own heritage. Recently in the United States, a government-sponsored smartphone app known as Pedicheck has gained popularity for allowing people to quickly look up a woman's pedigree online. After initial complaints of privacy invasion, a feature was added that allows women with an account to set their own ethnic identity to private in order to prevent strangers from seeing it on a whim, though this can be overridden by emergency personnel. Similar apps are starting to appear in other tech-savvy countries as well, and there are talks of eventually uniting them into one global database.

Despite these differences however, one thing always remains the same. Whether it's a woman dealing with her urges and how it affects her life, a guy out to find that perfect girl, a family going about their day, or just a young person trying to find their place in the world, everyone has a story to tell.

Who do you decide to follow in this brave new world?
