"in a second" you answer as you get out the rulebook and write a new rule.

"New rule: Michael Bedford (you) can pause and start time again at will by saying "stop" and "start"

"New rule: when time is stopped no one knows that Michael Bedford is to blame for it or anything that happens while time is stopped"

"New rule: when time is stopped anyone other than Michael Bedford will not feel the affect and will believe time is running normal without stopping"

You close the rulebook.
