The next two students to come through your door are quite a contrast, although the knowledge implanted in your mind by the Rulebook tells you that both are academically strong, hard-working and conscientious. Johanna nearly jumps off the table as the wand cracks down upon the crown of her cheeks, right over the blisters caused by her earlier spanking, but you don't give her any extra time to recover.

"No, no, please, I'm sorry, please don't start Jo's over, she's had so many more than me and it's all my fault, please just punish me, please, I'm so sorry Jo, oh no, please no…" Complete hysteria threatens to overwhelm the young woman and not without good reason; you're not sure either of them could take a repetition from the start. Since she counted too low rather than too high, maybe there's an argument for simply continuing from six, perhaps with an extra one each for not being in unison with the last, invalid count. On the other hand, rules are rules and you didn't leave any wiggle room in the dire consequences you expounded.
