An unexpected benefit

John was puzzled. He had taken out his wallet expecting to find his driver's license. Instead, however, he'd found something else in its place. It was a sheet of plastic the same shape and size as his old driver's license, but the print was completely different. For one, there were two photos: one of his face and one of his full body in profile. But even more jarring was the text brandished at the top center of the card:

John Thomas - Certified Breeder

It was a title as perplexing as it was intriguing. It certainly made sense given his new status of manhood, but John wasn't expecting the notebook to change things like this. He'd have to remember that for the future. It took John a moment to remember why he'd gotten the card out in the first place, handing it over to Renee.

"Alright, everything checks out", she said. "My place. You're driving."
