A second date with Julia Morgan

Although you hadn't specifically organized anything, you're sure Julia will be amenable to spending some time together tonight. However, it's not quite late enough to justify leaving just yet, so you text her to ask what she would like to do. She replies straight away, suggesting that she cook you dinner and adding that her sister is going to be spending the night with a friend. You're not too good at reading signals, but it certainly seems that there's a possibility she might invite you to stay the night with her. You say you think it's an excellent idea and arrange to be at her place around seven, to give her time to have everything ready by the time you arrive. That gives you just long enough to go home and change, as well as pick up a few things you might need.

On the way, you call your house and Susan answers on the first ring. You inform her of your plans and she gushes with praise, saying how happy she is for you and offering her assistance in picking out what to wear, which you accept. She's waiting for you on the pavement when you arrive and pays the taxi driver before you have a chance. She tells you she's booked another to take you to Dr. Morgan's, because there's not much parking there, so it's best not to drive.

You take a shower, declining Susan's offer to wash your back, although you do let her loose on your hair, while you sit on your bed in a towel, making sure you're dry all over. Then she shows you the clothes she's chosen and you have to admit that you think she's done well. Smart, but not too formal, including undergarments that you don't recognize, but prove to be very comfortable to wear. She leaves you alone to put on your underwear, then returns to help you into your suit and tie your tie. When you look in the mirror, you're impressed by what you see. You'll never have film star good looks, but right now you're as presentable as you've ever been, perhaps even bordering on handsome.

Susan has prepared an overnight bag, including a set of pyjamas still in the packet that you've apparently never worn and cut a bunch of flowers from your own garden—which is blooming far more impressively than you're used to, now that your grad students are taking care of it for you. You add the Rulebook to the bag when she turns her back for a moment. Not that you intend to use it, but you feel better when it's close at hand.

Nevertheless, you're still nervous as the taxi takes you smoothly towards your destination. The journey is short, but drags nonetheless and it is with some relief that you finally walk the last few steps to Julia's front door.

She opens it as you approach, obviously waiting for you, although you're about a minute early. You can't help checking out her form, resplendent in a chic black cocktail dress and stockings that flatter her figure. When your gaze returns to her face, you realize that she was looking you over at the same time—and she likes what she saw. She blushes slightly at being caught, but her primary expression is one of naked lust, which is something you're not used to, especially from a beautiful, intelligent young lady many years your junior.
