A man in fancy suit

A tall, handsome man who looks just a couple of years younger than Sirius comes inside the office followed by a dark haired, serious looking woman with glasses.

Kane's clientele were usually the members of the Church, using him as a last resort to take care of problems that became too big for them to handle or stupid rich people who have too much money and too little brains to stay away from magic or supernatural forces they couldn't understand. It was obvious the pair in front of him aren't part of the Church so that means they must be the latter.

"Mr. Kane, I presume? My name is Jonathan Dryer and I'm in need of your services" The man extends his hand towards Sirius but he doesn't respond the gesture, instead he motions the man to take a seat on one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"I bet. You wouldn't come to this part of the city yourself just to say hi." Sneers Kane, making Jane glare at her mentor, she always said he had to be more respectful with prospective clients. But the good thing about **** people is that they will take any treatment and pay any price for his services, and only the most **** come to see Sirius Kane

"So, what is it Mr. Dryer? One of your big mansions is haunted? Or perhaps a priceless relic you bought turned out to be cursed?" Says Kane in a mocking tone while Jonathan's face remains serious looking directly at him.

"No, the job is more complicated than that and much more important." Jonathan turns and nods to the woman accompanying him and without saying a word she approaches and handles Kane a tablet with the picture of a smiling college girl with short blond hair and brown eyes.

"This is my daughter Lexie, she's attending a private university in Narville, and I need you to bring her back to me, safe and sound." Explains Johnatan to the cynical freelancer.

"Yeah, that ain't happening buddy. Haven't you seen the news? Those things are spreading throughout the city, the military already placed the entire area in lockdown, no one and nothing goes in or out of that place." Responds Kane in a direct, cold tone.

"If you're worried about an entry and extraction route, don't, we already secured one that will lead you inside the city and the girl has a tracking device you can use to locate her." The bespectacled woman interjects, she then swipes the tablet to show Kane a map of the city with a small bright dot pulsing in an area labeled School Dorms.

"Secured? More like you bribed some brass, endangering countless people just to save your daughter! You think you can throw money at any problem and it will make it go away!?" Answers Kane, slowly starting to lose his patience.

"Honestly? Yes." Jonathan responds as he takes out his cellphone and a few seconds later a notification pops on Kane's phone showing a direct deposit was made in one of his foreign bank accounts for a quantity that was almost two times what he was paid on his last job. "That's just the down payment, I'll give you three times that quantity once you finish the job."

Jonathan Dryer then stands up and extends his hands towards Kane once more.

"I did my homework Mr. Kane, I know the only thing you love more than money is killing demons, I know that the Church wasn't happy with your "methods". But I don't really care how many people or demons you kill, as long as you bring me back my daughter."

"Ok, Father of the Year, answer me this then, what if I accept the job, what if I go to that hellhole in the making, I kill countless demons to reach your daughter and then it turns out daddy's girl is already a soulless demon?

"I believe the instructions were clear, you bring her back, safe and sound, anything less than that is unacceptable" Answers Jonathan completely unfazed by Kane's question.

Kane stands up and grabs Johnathan's hand in a firm handshake. "It's going to cost you at least twice more than what you offered."

Johnathan just smiles at the man. "Prepare your equipment Mr. Kane, you start immediately."
