This is an inspired project that I think can be fun. The following links are what inspired my direction, but please feel free to own your own direction for this story. The Game that Changes is fluid, and the game master can change play of the game on a whim i.e. if a master feels the player needs a Sims like game then the mode will feel like the Sims, but this player needs a fighting game, an adventure game, sports game, etc then the game shifts to manipulate the player, so the player will begin to shift to fit the game. A single player can play multiple game archetypes in a single game. If you want to create a new player to someone’s chapter do it. If you want to create a new second chapter do it.

Introduction:

The Game That Changes is a virtual game that corrupts and shifts the reality of the player to what extent that up to the game master.

Game Master:

The reader is the game master. As the various players explore the options of the game, the game becomes increasingly addictive making it nearly impossible for the player to stop playing. The Game Master can influence the impact by choosing storylines or choices the player has to navigate. The player will often dream of the game when he/she/they aren’t online. The game master will use these deja vu opportunities to strengthen the connection to the game. You might have a player learn a cheat code that accelerates changes or makes specific changes

The players:

As their obsession with finishing the game that changes corrupts their mind, they have a compulsion to share the game with friends and family creating a massive supercell of new realities inside this universe. Corruptions can be physical, obviously mental, sexual, perversions, fetishes, or enhancing some and/or diminishing some existing personality traits to deepen a desire that may be exposed/created by the game master.

NPC & multiplayer:

As players share the game, the game opens to the new player with all previous players as added NPC and when active player interactions like any other multiplayer mode.

New Stories for New players:

The previous player’s reality at the point of sending the game to the new player is the starting reality for the new player, but their game starts generating their life.

Reinforcing the Changes:

In the game, each choice a player makes has a series of subsequent decisions that can reinforce the changes. If they choose the right reinforcements the dream world will be unlocked for that deja vu moment. If deja vu reinforces the game choices, life choices will begin to take place. Each reinforcement creates a more definitive change and limits the options to reverse the change. Changes are not permanent as the game master can give the player a chance to fix his/her/their mistakes, but the corruption of multilevel reinforcement makes the changes harder to see.
