Flash Forward to 1989: a 13 year old Witch named Haeyo Kiki goes out on her "year of proving" to learn more about the world and her own place in it. She has several adventures in the city of Koriko and surrounding countryside, including meeting her future boyfriend and then husband Haeyo Tombo and saving his life following an airship disaster, which gains both her and witchcraft generally international attention. Flash Forward again to 2017: Kiki and Tombo's identical quadruplet daughters, Osono, Ursula, Kokiri, and Madoka are just turned 18. They each have gone on their year of proving, and succeed. However, unlike their mother none of them found true love while out in the world for the first time: at least so they think. Each one has several admirers, though, some of them from their childhoods, some from the cities or towns where they spent their year of proving, and some from this newfangled thing called "The Internet". By the end of the year two of them will be in serious relationships, one will be married, and the last one will have discovered she's a polyamorous bi-sexual. This is their story.
