This indirect, slower approach could allow for a genuine opportunity for Stacy to understand her friends on a deeper level, and for them to see her beyond her initial attempts at flirting. This is a strategy she believes might work in this particular environment, given the nature of the boy scouts where common activities and experiences might form a basis for deeper bonds.
