Chapter 4 by Shineoda Shineoda

Where does your story begin?

Training in Team Rocket’s secret hideout. (5 years earlier)

Word from author: Yoo, My original plan for Green was to start in Pallet Town, but when I was writing the Viridian City chapters a few weeks ago, I read some comments that sparked an idea, so here we are. This is kinda the prequel to my Green story, how Green escaped Team Rocket. Why am I writing this? For fun and... plot reasons. I got chapters prepared from Pallet Town to Viridian Forrest. Once I have finished this prequel, I can release a bunch of chapters. I'm still updating and tweaking the prepared chapters, so there will probably be a break between each chapter's release. According to Grammarly, there are 18 additional writing issues, but I don't have premium, so it doesn't tell me how to fix them. Some of them are things like wasn't to was not or That's to That is but I feel like wasn't and that's are still valid. 9 Like, 8 comments(5 of them about the chapter), not counting my comments, 3 followers, and 1 Bookmark on my first chapter, in less than 24 hours. POG. The hype train is coming all aboard for chapter 2.

It all started 13 years ago. You got kidnapped by Team Rocket. Just two weeks ago, you turned 18 and would have received a Pokemon to start your journey as a Pokemon trainer, but fate has other plans for you. If it wasn't for the potential you display, you're sure they would have turned you into one of their sex slaves. Instead, you and a few other chosen kids receive special training. You hate it here. It is cold and wet, there is no warm water, and the food is bland and stale. You always thought a criminal organization as big as Team Rocket would have a lot of money, but this place is a shithole. That's why you came up with a plan to escape.

„Time for today's training session. In 3 days, all of you will have your ranks assigned. The 6'0 tall warden says, completely dressed in black, with a red R on the front of his uniform and hat. He hits the bars with his baton as he strolls past each cell. He has short Blue hair and is one of two wardens watching over the four of you. „Kai vs Silver and Green vs Ray. It will be 3vs3 battles. We prepared 20 Pokemon, so choose wisely."

The four cells open, and the four of you follow the warden to the training grounds. As you enter, you see a table with 20 Pokeballs. Each ball contains a different Pokemon. Kai bolts to the table but stops abruptly.

"Mhmm.. but how do I know what Pokemon I will get?" He asks, irritated.
""Yeah, how can we build a team if we don't know what we will get?" Ray adds.

"It's part of today's challenge. Sometimes luck is all you need to win a battle." The warden responds.

After everyone chooses 3 Pokeballs, the warden leads you to a small room where everyone has 30 seconds to check their team. Silver is the first to enter, followed by Ray. Now it is your turn. You wait for the door to close behind you before you call out all 3 Pokemon. Okay, I got a Magnemite, a Weepinbell, and a Rhyhorn ... could be worse. You think to yourself before recalling your Pokemon and leaving the room. Kai is the last one to check on his team. Upon Kai's return, the warden announces the first battle.

Alright, time first battle Silver vs Kai.

The battle was completely one-sided. Silver swept the floor with Kai. Neither had a real type advantage, but Silver outmaneuvered Kai by far. Seeing Silver dominating Kai like this makes you wonder if you have what it takes to become a successful trainer.

Alright, next battle. Green vs Ray.

"LET‘S GO, Magnemite!"
"TIME TO WIN, Gloom!"

You look over at Ray to see him just as nervous as you. Ok, no one should have an advantage in this matchup. You think before shouting your first order.

"Magnemite, use Electro Ball."
"Gloom, dodge, and counter with Razor Leaf."

Within seconds, Magnemite charges its attack and launches a ball of lightning at Gloom. Magnemite’s Electro Ball is way too fast for Gloom to dodge. The ball of lightning strikes Gloom, causing its body to spasm for a second before it stomps on the ground to shake it off. Gloom now starts spinning around, shooting knife-like leaves at your Magnemite.

"Magnemite, use Sonic Boom to block the leaves."
"It can't move. Use Mega Drain, Gloom."

As Magnemite starts spinning, both of its arms vibrate, causing them to shoot out small shock waves blocking the incoming Razor Leaf. The flower on Gloom’s head starts glowing green before shooting out a matching energy beam, hitting Magnemite and draining some of its energy before the beam dissipates. With both Pokemon evenly matched, Ray and You hesitate to give the next order.

"Mhm… use... Stun Spore, Gloom."
"Rrggh… Magnemite, dodge and charge."

Gloom jumps around, sending spores all around the arena. With Magnemite's speed, the spores are easy to dodge. You can see the electricity flowing through its body.

"Magnemite, use another Electro Ball."
"Gloom use ingrain and brace for impact!"

Your Magnemite, now almost overflowing with electricity, shoots this giant ball of lightning at Gloom. „Oh shit.“ Is all Kai can get out before the ball of lightning strikes Gloom. There is a big flash causing you to squeeze your eyes for a moment. When you open your eyes, you see his Gloom still standing. The fight goes on for 3 more minutes before Gloom finally falls over.

"Tsk... Ray snarls as he recalls his fainted Pokemon. „GOO Machop!"
Should I recall Magnemite? I can't use Rhyhorn. So Weepinbell would be my only option here. You don`t have much time to think.

"ALRIGHT! Machop Bulk up!"
"Magnemite return. GOO Weepinbell."

Your Magnemite returns to its Pokeball. Machop flexes its muscles as you throw the Pokeball with Weepinbell in it. Your Weepinbeel stares at the flexing Machop, waiting for your command.

"Use Vine Whip"
"Dodge and look for an Opening to strike with Karate Chop"

The two vines that sprout out of Weepinbell start whipping at Machop. Machop manages to dodge all the vines before rushing and landing a huge blow with his Karate Chop. The power of the punch causes Weepinbell to crash into the wall.

"OH NO, are you alright Weepinbell?"

Weepinbell shakes off the dirt before jumping back into action.

"Okay, everything is fine. This time Use Razor Leaf."
"Machop Bulk Up and tank the attack."

To your surprise, he is not telling his Pokemon to dodge or attack. Weepinbell starts shaking, sending razor-sharp leaves toward Machop. The attack barely does any damage as most of the leaves bounce off Machops pumped up body.

"Time to end this. Machop, use Low Kick."
"Keep Machop on distance with Vine Whip."

Machop dashes towards Weepinbell, completely ignoring the incoming vines. Weepinbell somehow manages to keep the distance between them, constantly whipping at Machop. When Suddenly, Machop grabs both vines.

"SHIT!"
"NOW, USE SEISMIC TOSS!"

Machop starts spinning, lifting Weepinbeel in the air, whirling it around the arena before smashing it into the ground.

Can Weepinbell still fight?
