To a Nearby Cave To Dry Off

Just east of the beach is a cave along the cliff face that floods during high tide. The tide is low so you decide to use this as a place to dry off for the time being. Hanging your clothes on a convenient Wobbuffet doing its best impersonation of a towel rack, you relax in the cave with Bulbasaur and Tangela.

At first, the two don't seem to like each other much; but after an hour they are merrily playing with each other while you watch on like a proud parent. You're not worried about being naked in front of Pokemon; so you just watch them while lounging on one of the rocks. Perhaps you should have been more careful though, as suddenly you feel a painful pinch on your toe.

"Yeowch!" You scream, attracting the attention of the pair of Pokemon. Holding up your foot, you see a Krabby dangling off your big toe. "Grr! Bulbasaur! Tangela! Vine Whip!" You yell.

An hour later a trio of Pokemon are playing along the shore while you sit and watch, having decided to put on a different set of clothes since you've dried off. Next to you is Wobbuffet, who along with Krabby you decided to catch. You caught the crab Pokemon after you were done watching Bulbasaur and Tangela take turns wailing on it; but the Wobbuffet didn't seem to mind one bit being captured. Just like he doesn't seem to mind holding your clothes. Well, whatever floats his boat.

As you watch your Pokemon play, you've been idly considering catching some of the Pokemon in this cave. Several Shellder and Starmie are laying inert on the ground, and there are at least three Slowpoke lounging around. You don't want to disturb your Pokemon from having their fun; so eventually you decide to try to catch them on your own.

It turns out just catching Pokemon sleeping or lounging around isn't too difficult; so you've now got a total of seven Pokemon. Not bad for your first day as a trainer. Gathering up your new Pokemon and placing the Shellder in the storage box in your bag; you and Bulbasaur start climbing out of the cave. However, as you get back on the 'beach'; you notice there is a person riding a Tentacruel approaching from the south. Another trainer? Perhaps you can wave them down; maybe have a battle?
