Run for it!

"Run for it!" you yell at the top of your lungs, fleeing the perverse scene of carnal corruption before you with Derek and Mick following behind you.

"Fuck! Fuck! What the fuck are we supposed to do now!" Derek yells out, clearly distressed and grieving at the sudden loss of his girlfriend to the forces of darkness.

You try to collect your thoughts, as difficult as it is and as heartbreaking as things have become. "Look," you say to your two new companions, "we still have Amanda's sister Megan to think about. The least we can do is make sure she at least gets out of this. It's what Amanda would have wanted. It's why she came here in the first place."

Gulping, Derek composes himself and nods. Mick, uncertain, seems to decide to just follow along and do whatever his friend does.

Abruptly, your cell phone starts ringing, causing your heart to skip a beat in surprise. Answering the call, you hear Megan on the other end, panic in her voice.

"Listen, we need help!" the teen whispers out over the phone, clearly in a state of alarm, "The North Entrance is blocked off by a horde of these crazy people, and we had to hide in a big furniture outlet nearby. A bunch of them saw us and tried to follow us, I think some of them are inside with us now looking around for us. Please, you gotta come and help!"

"We're on our way, Megan. Just hang in there!" you tell her over the phone, trying to muster up a confidence you don't really have at the moment.

You tell your two companions the urgent news. All three of you exchange determined nods, and rush away from the bar towards the furniture outlet. Having a purpose, something to fight for, seems to help distract Derek from the horror of his girlfriend's fate. Mick, meanwhile, seems to just be glad not to be alone at the moment in the middle of all this insanity.

As the three of you pass by the North Entrance, you gaze from the upper floor down to the huge exit doors below. Sure enough, a large crowd of infected mallgoers in various states of undress and infection have gathered there in a masive orgy, blocking off your route of escape.

"We'll just have to worry about that later." you say to yourself and your companions, as you continue towards the furniture outlet. The place is one of the larger stores in the mall, with lots of places to hide. On the plus side, it means Megan and her friends have a good chance of finding somewhere to avoid the infected hunting them. However, it also makes it easier for those same infected to ambush you around a corner or from a hiding spot of their own.
