"Perfect," Professor Oak mumbles, half to himself, as he types furiously into Blue's Pokedex. "Here you go," the professor continues as he turns Blue's Pokedex back towards the two of you. "Amber and Blue, place your fingerprints here." He points to a touch pad on the device, and you both press your thumbs in. The pad goes black for a moment, finalizing your agreement. Then, with a high-pitched ding, a giant green check mark appears on the screen. When it fades away, your picture and name appear on the screen, with small text underneath saying "view contract". Your heart sinks. Seeing you registered in Blue's Pokedex makes it feel much more final for you.

Your self-reflective tone is disrupted by Blue snatching his Pokedex back from his grandpa. "All right, perfect! Oh, Amber, don't forget! You're my sex **** now. That means you aren't a trainer anymore, so you can't battle any other trainers or buy anything at a PokeMart without me there to approve it. Not that it would matter to begin with, since all your money is now mine." Oh shit. You knew there had to be a catch. Not being able to battle other trainers means your training will go much more slowly. Also, if you can't shop at a PokeMart, you can't buy PokeBalls. And if you can't buy PokeBalls, you can't catch any new pokemon. You're going to have to go at it with only your Charmander.
