You enter Mt. Moon ready to start your trek to Cerulean City. The interior of the mountain is surprisingly bright. You figured a cave would be dark and hard to see but it seems that isn’t the case. You put your flashlight back into your bag realizing that you don’t need it.

You make your way through the rocky terrain fighting off armies of Zubat and Geodude. Your team makes quick work of the wild pokemon. Few trainers are in the cavern. Maybe they’re all further ahead of you. You have fun spending the day with your team.

At midday, you stop for lunch. You pour out bowls of pokefood for your team. Before opening the first meal your mom had prepared for you. You laugh watching Combee fly around with food in her mouth and Tingle on her back.. Runt chases from below trying to grab Combee’s food from her mouth. Wartortle and Ekans sit staring at each other guarding their food from any thieves. Meanwhile Carvanha quickly devours his food before nuzzling himself into your lap resting below your breasts.

You check your phone out of instinct. Still no signal. When everybody is finished eating you pack up. The second half of the day is filled with more wild Zubat and Geodude. You face a couple trainers, but you make quick work of them riding the confidence from your earlier victory over Blue.

You find a small cavern with an opening in the cavern ceiling. When you look up you can see the stars. You prepare your tent for the night. You feed your team and eat another boxed meal from your mom. You lay on your back looking up at the night sky. Runt and Carvanha cuddle under your arms. Wartortle paces around, with Ekans tailing him, ready to guard you. Tingle and Combee took refuge in the tent.

As you stare up at the sky, the moon comes into view. You wonder what everybody else is up to. Is Jack safe in Mt. Moon? Did John beat Brock and earn his boulder badge? Did Yuruki and the Sirens win their match on Cinnabar Island? How is everyone doing back in Pallet Town? Did Blue find an appropriate release for his anger? Or is he saving it all for you?
