Just Some Wild Pokemon

You set off at a much slower pace than before, now knowing that you're not really built for running long distances. Now that you have two pokemon that are ready for battle, you feel a lot safer to take things slow, and even take some time to battle some of the Pidgeys and Rattatas you run into along the way, giving Charmander and your own Pidgey some valuable battle experience.

Finally, after a mercifully uneventful walk, you arrive at the gates of Viridian City, and allow yourself a smile. You've made it to the first town, this is a big step in your journey. As evening draws in and the temperature grows colder, you quickly walk into the city, looking for a place to stay so you can rest up and hopefully get a shower.
