The door to Oaks lab opened with a hiss as the two of you just walk thought the auto-door. The smug look oh Blue's face present the entire time, as yours is a little downcast as the prof turns to greets you, only for his smile to melt into a cold hard stare. You found yourself shiver a little sense after all you have never seen such an expression on the normally exuberant and happy professor.

"Blue! I know you weren't gone long, but I would hope very dearly you at the very lest had the foresight to step OUTSIDE the towns limits before you had your first fight with Amber."

You gave a sigh of relief at knowing his hardened face is because of Blue. Although judging by you glance didn't seem the lest bit phased.

"What can I say Gramps, her ass in those cut off jean shorts is just begging to be tapped and I wasn't going to wait."

Oak continued to glare at Blue, before holding out his empty hands for the pokeballs. After handing them over he calmly walked over to a device at the side of the lab and place them onto mechanical looking stands. With a few button presses it lit up along with the balls themselves that, with the slight strobing light on them it almost looked like they were spinning in place. As they worked he turned back to use giving me a quick once over.

"I'm guessing by the fact none of your clothes are ripped and your knees aren't dirty he hasn't touched you yet?"

You blushed as you tell him about your double-or-nothing deal. He started rubbing the bridge of his nose with his left hand while his right arm raised up in a half shrug.

"Blue..... i'm not going to say anything against the bet. I'm also not going to say anything about the wanting sex for a victory. That's your right as a victor as stated in the rules:

'The victor of a pokemon battle may ask for EITHER money or a sexual favor from the loser, no matter the losers age, sex, or sexual preferences. Provided that both party's are licensed Pokémon trainers.' After all the whole rule was put in place not long before you were born because of the massive loss of adult males in the last war. There is also another rule that you must abide by or face serious jail time: 'Pokemon battles are PROHIBITED!! inside cities, Towns, or villages outside of Gyms or trainer parks, and must be conducted outside there limits or in said designated places.' I know that that is a STANDARD question of the pokemon licensing test. And before you say anything it is the CHALLENGES choice of venue of a battle not the one challenged. I am going to let you off the hook this ONE time because you're a brand new trainer, but grandson or not if you do that again I will not only not protect you. I'll call the police on you myself. The only worse thing you could have done in this vein would be having a Pokémon battle near or Arceus forbid INSIDE a pokemon center. Without a good excuse the result of which will have you blacklisted as a Pokémon trainer, Everyone and I do mean EVERYONE of your pokemon will be seized and released, in a different region I might add and you'll be fitted with a wrist brace that will prevent any pokeball in you hand from working ever again. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR BLUE!?"

Blue's cocky attitude was gone, now white as a sheet he was leaning back so far while still standing he was close to falling on his butt. You couldn't really blame him you'd NEVER seen Professor Oak this mad before. But after a rapid series of nods from the thoroughly cowed Blue, Oak took a deep breath and calm down.

"as I said if you want to have a battle with those kind of stakes you were aloud, but there are some laws you do not cross. Now while your pokemon are almost done healing I will give you both some pointers about your Pokemon starters, ok?"

Blue with some color back in his face just nodded and you gave a big smile and nod yourself, you always have loved learning about Pokémon even if it was information you might already know. There was always little nuggets of information from anyone with experience that you just couldn't learn from the textbook.

"While a Buldasaur is the best choice in terms of versatility for a starting Trainer, their moves of poison, stun, and sleep powder along side leech seed and vine whip as restraints make them great for the trainers who want to fill up there pokedex. However they are not nearly as resilient, fast, or if they are not raised properly powerful as the two you have. Squirtle is the slowest of the three and it doesn't get any better with its subsequent evolutions, but it's tanky shell more than makes up for its ability to dodge attacks, that coupled with the fact that a lot of it's attacks can be used to herd and opponent into position. A good strategist won't even mind the slow speed, and even though this may seem obvious, even though he is a water type that does not need to be in a body of water to function, having him in a body of water will increase the power of his attacks significantly, but always remember this method could be a double edge sword if an electrical attack is used. Now i'm not going to lie, Chamander is often considered the glass cannon of the 3, he isn't as tough as a Bulbasuar let alone a Squirtle but, when it comes to them you'd have to catch them first if you wanted to deal any damage, they are very fast and their attacks are very powerful, even more so if you can get them to use both speed, momentum, and there natural strength with any one of their physical attacks. For any of their attacks that are pure fire based hit-and-runs are your best friend, some of the best Charmander to Charizard trainers have even taught their Pokémon dance moves to augment their speed to allow them to dodge better. Why I even saw a Charmeleon fight like a ballerina mainly focusing on hitting really hard with there tail as he spins. Now here is one of the most important details to remember, it is a half-myth for Charmander and his evolutions that if there tail flame goes out they die. It's more of that if they die their tail flame goes out, and quite a few trainers have said that quite fortunately for them the fire on there tail continued burning even while completely submerged in water."

A happy jingle sounds from the device as the balls stop glowing, he picks them both up and returned them to you and Blue.

"there, they're all healed up and ready. Now no matter the outcome of your battle I want you both back here afterwards so I can heal them again.....even if I'll have to add "registering Amber as a ****" to that as well understood?"

At us both nodding he shoed us away.

"now run along and have your battles OUTSIDE of the town and I'll be here waiting."
