You can't stop worrying. Maybe searching the lake isn't such a bad idea.

You sleep poorly over the night, your thoughts haunted by the prospect that one or more among your number could be an incubus or succubus in disguise waiting for the right moment to strike. You awaken just before dawn, the sky still grey as the first rays of the sun begin to peak over the horizon, reflected in the clear waters of the crystal blue lake. Looking out at the lake, your mind keeps coming back to Warren's suggestion to search the shoreline for the silver weapons you've lost. Maybe that's not such a bad idea. Certainly, finding them and testing out your companions would help assuage your nagging fears of demonic infiltration.

Grabbing your rifle, you leave your room and make your way to the shores of the lake, where you realize that you haven't exactly brought swimming trucks for the occasion. Looking around, you don't see anyone else nearby; it seems everyone else is still fast asleep. With a shrug, you strip naked, leaving your clothes in a neat pile by the lake, then laying down your rifle on top where you can get to it quickly if need be.

With that, you wade naked into the waters of the lake. To your pleasant surprise, the water is actually comfortably warm; you suppose that if this whole mess had to happen, at least it happened at this time of the year. Diving under the surface, you scan the pebble-crusted floor of the lake for any sign of your lost silver items. The clear water makes searching the lake fairly easy, but even so after almost half an hour of searching you still don't see any sign of your lost weapons.

Surfacing for air one final time, you're just about to give up when you hear a noise from the shore of the lake. You turn around to see what it is.
