Escape the city.

You gun the engine of your car putting some distance between you and your pursuers. Whatever, you plan on doing next the first thing you want to do is head to your friend Bill's shop. You swing a hard right at the next light. As your passenger manages to get ahold of herself and cease crying, you decide it's time for introductions.

You introduce yourself, and she responds, "I'm Amanda, Amanda Jennings, again thank you. If you hadn't come along, I'd...I'd..." She shivers and continues,"I'd rather not think about it."

"Do you have any idea where to go to get away from these things?"

"They have the whole city quarantined, with orders to shoot on site. It's all over the news. But, if we can get out of the city we'll be safe. We just have to get out."

It's a reasonable idea, and you nod your head as you pull into a parking spot. You enter into a small religious goods, with Amanda clinging to you. You grab a bunch of rosary beads and head for the cashier.

As you buy them Amanda gives you a look and says, "Those won't do much. They mostly ignore jewelry."

"They're not for wearing." She gives you a puzzled look as you exit and head for your friend Bill's gun shop. You just hope he hasn't been infected or worse.

You enter the dimly lit shop slowly, a little bell dinging. Out pops Bill from somewhere behind the register with more a pair of semiautomatic pistols aimed at you. "You infected?" He mutters.

"Nope, still human, this is Amanda. I'm looking for a shotgun, and if you could a quick modification on some shells." You explain your idea.

"About, damn time you dropped by. And shells with rosary beads, that's clever might just work."

Bill works fast and in twenty minutes you have a shotgun and half a dozen special shells. As he hands them to you you ask, "You want to come with us Bill? We're going to try to get the hell out of Dodge."

"And, leave my store? Not on your life. Be safe."

"You too, watch out for Jess, she's gone all succubus."

"I pity the demon that tries coming in here." He turns showing two more pistols holstered on his back and what looks like a small rocket launcher.

You and Amanda head out. Having worked for the city you remember an old subway tunnel leading out of the city. You're pretty sure it goes outside the quarantine zone. Although you could try something else, perhaps Amanda has an idea?
