Narrow Victory

He throws his ball out releasing a Rattata, you relax a bit knowing he isn’t in Viridian City for the Pokemon League. “My name is Liam by the way. Figured you’d at least want to know my name when we . . . um you know later after I win.” He stumbles around his words not feeling confident enough to fully commit to degrading you to that of a sex object.

“Who said you’re going to win? The name is Amber, that way when you hear about me winning the League you can remember the time I beat your ass.” Ready for the battle, you don’t even stop to consider how much worse your situation would be if you lost after comments like that. “Squirtle use bubble.” The turtle spews bubbles from his mouth at the enemy Rattata.

Liam tries to stumble through a dodge command, but his nerves are shot by the sudden start of the battle. Rattata is hit by the bubble attack. You smirk knowing that this battle is going your way. “Rattata quick attack.” The purple rat sprints at Squirtle with surprising speed. Squirtle takes the blow but looks slightly weary from the hit after the battling from this morning’s trek through Route 1.

“Squirtle tackle.” The hit lands and now both pokemon look to be on their last leg.

“Rattata bite.” His fangs sink into Squirtle’s arm. Squirtle is knocked out from the blow.

“Squirtle return,” you call out bringing him back into the safety of his ball. “It’s up to you now, Runt.” Your Poochyena comes out ready for the challenge. She is smaller than the Rattata but looking much stronger. “Quickly Runt, bite.” She uses her speed to close the gap latching onto the Rattata by the tail. She gives a quick shake before flinging the fainted Rattata away.

“Rattata return. Spearow let’s go.” The bird pokemon comes out flying just above your eye level.

“Runt, howl.” The small statured Poochyena lets out a mighty howl boosting its own power.

“Fury attack, now!” The bird dives at Runt grabbing it with its talons. It quickly pelts her 3 times before she manages to shake loose.

Runt looks mad at being grabbed in that manner. “Runt jump at the Spearow with a bite.” Watching the circling Spearow she waits for the opportunity to strike. Suddenly she runs forwards leaping into the air several times higher than her own height, her teeth latching onto the Spearow’s feet. They both plummet to the ground but only Runt manages to stand again.

“I can’t believe I lost. I never imagined a girl could beat me.” Liam seemed to be taking the loss well. Ignoring Liam’s cries of frustration at losing his precious prize, you make your way to Runt to check on her. You notice that she seems weak, if the battle had continued you might’ve lost. Suddenly you feel a hand grab your shoulder. Turning you see it’s Liam, “You must have cheated. Admit it, you cheated so I won. That’s the only thing that makes sense.” Fear sweeps through your body knowing that even a small man like Liam could easily overpower you. “Oowww,” Liam screeches suddenly letting go of you. When he stands you see Runt hanging from his rear, you can’t help but laugh at the scenario. Runt lets go running back to you as Liam flees towards Viridian City.

“Thanks, we girls have to stick together,” you say petting Runt. The Poochyena seems content to be near you. You pick her up into your arms, grabbing your bag you head to Viridian City. You reach the start of the paved roads of Viridian City, and you smile at your latest accomplishment. You stop at the sight of the banners celebrating the Pokemon League, your earlier concern of facing expert trainers returns in full **** as you watch people wandering the streets.

You had planned on making a stop by the pokemart to buy some supplies for Viridian Forest and some dinner for tonight. But, maybe you should order in to your room at the Pokecenter and get supplies in the morning before heading into the forest. Although the streets do seem mostly empty as the sun starts to set, and who knows what the morning will hold. Should you wait till the morning or go to the Pokemart tonight?
