It's Amanda, everything's going just fine.

Answering the phone, you hear Amanda's voice on the other end, informing you that she's exiting the mall right now with her friends and checking with you that everything's alright. You assure her that you're waiting in the car out front and ready to go. And you're certainly eager to leave. The sky is getting pretty grey and overcast, and without direct sunlight you're not entirely certain the daylight will keep the demons indoors.

As you fire up the engine, you see Amanda and her friends hurry out of the mall and quickly rush into your car. Amanda and a dark-haired young man in his early 20's you assume to be her boyfriend hold each other closely as they climb into the back seat, another young man climbs in alongside them from the other side. Meanwhile, an athletic-looking Latina woman climbs into the passenger seat next to you.

From the back seat, Amanda tells you that Megan and her friends have their own car and will be following your lead. Sure enough, a small blue compact car pulls up behind you and honks; in the rear-view mirror you can see Megan waving at you from the passenger-side seat while another teen around her age is at the wheel. You can see a few other of Megan's friends in their back seat.

"Come on, let's get out of here. It's getting pretty ugly in there," the athletic young Latina exclaims as she looks over across at you while leaning a wooden baseball bat against the dashboard. She's really cute in a tough kind of way; smooth black hair pulled back in a long ponytail with a couple loose bangs hanging down over her forehead, wearing a sleeveless black tank top that shows off her well-toned arms and nice olive tan.

Putting the car into drive, you pull away from the mall, Megan's blue compact following close behind you. As you head for the highway, you take a moment to examine Amanda's two male companions. Her boyfriend, Derek, is dark-haired and boyishly handsome, with a healthy athletic build underneath his clean-cut dark clothing. The other young man looks like a surfer dude, with a lean, muscular beach body, a tussled mop of blonde hair, and a healthy tan.

"So, where to now?" you ask as you approach the ramp to the highway.

"There's no telling how much longer the streets are going to be safe. We should probably find some place to hole up until this whole mess blows over," the Latina chick responds.

"I think I know a place," Derek chimes in while comfortingly holding Amanda close to him.
