"Amber, I have a special task for you. You see I have this Pokemon Egg that mysteriously came into my possession recently, no one knows where it came from and no one knows what Pokemon this could be holding inside around here at my Lab. I may be the worlds most renown Pokemon Professor but I by no means specialize in the knowledge of Pokemon Eggs my good friend and old colleague Professor Elm is much more knowledgeable in that than I am. That's why I want you to take the egg with you and go to meet one of Professor Elm's assistants in Vermilion City so he can research it and see just what Pokemon is held inside and whatever else there is to learn about it." Oak says in a solemn tone

Caught off guard by this sudden job and serious tone you look at him dumbfounded and ask, "Why me? Why not just have one of your assistants take it to him? Better yet why not just have Blue deliver the egg?"

"It's because I know I can trust you to take it there safely, I trust you because I see the same fire in your eyes that your father had oh so many years ago when I set him off on his first journey." Oak says as he gets close again and puts his hand on your shoulder this time it feels warm like a fathers praise.

Tears start to roll down your face quietly, "Thank you Professor, yes of course I will help you." you say to him just getting the words from your mouth. Finally it feels like someone truly has faith in you, after your battle with Blue you lost so much of that confidence you always had but now you regained a portion of it, you aren't just some dumb bimbo slut that everyone can take advantage of with ease, you actually feel like you can make it in your road to become a Pokemon master.

The Professor knows just how much this means to her as he pats her shoulder and adjust her cap on straight, "Don't worry I'm sure you can overcome the hardships that make so many other female trainers quit, I know you won't give up just that easily."

You wipe the tears from your cheeks as the lady that took your Charmander earlier returns now and tells you he is just as good as new you thank her as she walks away. The professor meanwhile went to grab the egg before unveiling it to you, it was surprisingly big about the size of your backpack and it had red diagonal stripes going across a forest green base. You grab the egg and tie it to the back of your backpack with rope as the professor does assure you that Pokemon eggs are extremely durable and won't break easily. You bid farewell and head out of the lab to start your adventure all over again this time feeling just as good as when you first started but with no douche bag like Blue around to spoil your moment.
