Ann Marie

The phone's ring is monotonous as you hold it against your ear and wait. With each passing moment, you realise that the chances of the Incubus or Lynn catching up to you greatly increase. Just as you are about to end the call, there's a dull click as Ann Marie's voice echoes down the phone.

A sigh of relief tumbles from your lips, within seconds you have told Ann Marie about your most recent encounter. The newlywed seems to take it all and listens patiently on the other end. Once you've informed Ann Marie, you part your trembling lips to ask; "I want to be clear Ann Marie if you don't pick me up soon then I'm going to get screwed."

Ann Marie giggles lightly before responding "Ah Mara your such a drama queen, just tell me where you are and I'll drop by in a bit." Knowing now was not the best time to hesitate you quickly respond with

"I'm at Corner Main and Central."

For a moment all is quiet then you swear you hear a menacing timbre growl before the line goes dead. Stood on the corner you await the sound of Ann Marie's car but soon find yourself becoming increasingly tense as the eerie silence lingers. Your eyes flicker across the opposite building as you witness two fast-moving shadows.
