The first conscious change / Gaining a boyfriend

The opportunity to use The Role Swapper arrived the next Sunday when Erick was working out on a gym and Christine went to the local laundromat.

Oliver with his own dirty clothes on hand, pressed the left button to Christine's direction and pushed the center button three times prompting a list of roles to appear on the screen of the device.

"What the hell" murmured Oliver as he read the first options that appeared on screen, quickly noticing the search bar above the list he decided to ignore the... interesting roles and select the search bar, at which a keyboard was displayed.

Using the keyboard was a pain due to only being able to move left and right but once a minute passed and Oliver found a variation of the role "Erick's Girlfriend", how would he know it had the intended effect? easy the Swapper told him as soon as he selected the role "Erick's Significant Other".

As he opened them he didn't really notice anything different, he was still wearing the same clothes and Christine was still waiting for her clothes to stop get out of the washing machine.

"Did it work? It doesn't feel like anything changed, was the incident with the dog been an hallucination?" Shaking his head Oliver decided to just wash his clothes and return to his apartment once the clothes finished, that is until he realized that there was more clothes on his bag than before "Could it be?" It wasn't a joke to say that the time Oliver spend waiting for his and (presumably) Erick's clothes to be done was one of the most tense ones in his life.
