Chapter 4 by LLation LLation

What?

Something wonderful

“Did that really just happen?” Kyle wondered aloud. He stood up and paced back and forth in his room before settling his gaze on his computer.

I remember getting shocked and feeling paralyzed for a moment or two before Mom came in. Could that have had something to do with the weird blue text box that appeared out of nowhere? Is it gone forever now, or will it show up again?

The fact that it had registered point prerequisites for its so-called “dialogue options” seemed to imply that it could be accessed more than once, but how? Was it even real to begin with or had he just imagined it?

So many questions, not enough answers. No answers, actually. Figures.

He slumped back into his computer chair and spent a few more moments in silent thought.

The way the “Dialogue Menu” acted seemed to draw a lot of influence from RPG game mechanics, particularly the dialogue menus...

His eyes widened.

It can’t really be that simpl-

(Welcome to the Dialogue Menu, User. Please select a subject to engage in Dialogue with or close the menu.)

The strange blue text box reemerged from the ether and sat in directly in front of Kyle’s vision. What struck him was how quiet and seamless its appearance had been, but then he remembered that the Menu had stopped time for everything but his own awareness.

Am I even breathing right now?

Sure enough, Kyle soon found that he was unable to get a response from his respiratory system. Virtually nothing about his own body worked except for his eyes.

This is so weird.

Kyle refocused his attention on the floating text box in front of him.

I wonder what would happen if I gave Ms. Torres a try?

(Subject ‘Sofia Torres’ is currently too far away to engage in Dialogue with the User. Please select another subject or close the menu.)

Huh. So there’s a range limit. I guess it makes sense since the weird box thing makes my mouth move after I’ve selected a dialogue option. I probably have to be within earshot of someone for the Menu to work its magic. The only other person home right now is Mom, so I should try her again.

(Subject ‘Sandra Mitchell’ is currently too far away to engage in Dialogue with the User. Please select another subject or close the menu.)

Okay, that’s annoying. You’d think Mom would be able to hear me if she’s still in the house. Whatever, I guess I’ll have to get closer. How do I close the menu-

The translucent blue textbox winked out of existence.

Kyle raised his eyebrows and shrugged. Mind made up, he made his way to the hallway in search of his voluptuous mother. The Menu had allowed him to get a good look at her ample cleavage earlier when it paused time. He hadn’t ever been able to get a long, unobstructed look at her like that before and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t want another opportunity to take in the beauty that was his mother.

There’s something wrong with me. I shouldn’t be thinking about Mom’s plump rear… or her gigantic tits… or those juicy lips wrapped around my-

He shook his head clear of those musings, instead trying to focus at the task he’d set for himself. “Mom?” He said aloud.

No answer. Maybe she went downstairs?

He made his way to the end of the hallway, but noticed that the door to his parents’ room was closed. It was never closed unless his mother or father was in there doing something private. He pressed his ear to the door to get a feel of the situation he might find inside and hear the telltale sign of water spewing from a shower faucet.

He facepalmed. Of course his mother’s next stop after his room would have been the shower. She’d come up to his room heavily caked in sweat and in her workout clothes, after all.

Well, this is a conundrum.

Conundrum, indeed. He wanted very much to test out the Dialogue Menu further and his mother presented a very easy (and highly appealing) target, with an Agreeableness Point score that was likely leaps and bounds ahead of those he might find around his neighborhood. They might not have had the same debuffs to that score for certain commands, but Kyle was suddenly very aware of the fact that his mother was probably naked in her bathroom and he had a way to pause time.

Heart thumping in his chest, Kyle reached out and knocked lightly on the wooden door of his mother’s bedroom.

There was no answer, so he tried the doorknob. It twisted without resistance.

Mom didn’t lock the door…

Kyle was in a nervous haze as he opened the door to his mother’s bedroom. The walls were a shade of light blue that matched the spotless white carpet below. At the end of the room sat a large bed – Kyle had no idea the size; furniture and decoration had never drawn the attention of his technically-minded curiosity.

But it interested him now. His mother had slept so many nights under those covers and he felt like he was stepping uninvited into her domain. The thought that he might actually get away with it was at the forefront of his mind. He felt his manhood harden in his pants at the thought.

As he approached the only semi-closed door of the master bathroom, the sound of rushing water grew louder. He began to tiptoe on the carpet, feeling very much like an intruder.

I suppose I am, but for some reason I can’t bring myself to feel very guilty about it.

And as he reached the half-open door to the master bedroom, any lingering remnant of the guilt he might have felt drained when he glimpsed his mother’s nude form scrubbing itself behind the distorted glass of her shower door.

It was impossible for Kyle to see her features with any measure of clarity, but did notice her large breasts swaying and jiggling as she scrubbed her right leg up and down, stopping at the edge of her thigh before doing the same to the other leg.

I doubt I’ll be able to get closer without Mom noticing. It’s now or never.

The blue textbox that had change so much about his perception of reality formed in front of him again, causing time to stop. He wished he were able to move fully while time was stopped, but he chose his target quickly and the menu responded.

Sandra Mitchell (1501 Agreeableness Points)

Wait a minute, I thought Mom had 1500 Agreeableness Points?

The thought was forgotten when the menu began to populate with dialogue options.

<01> Hi, Mom! (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

<01> Hey, I’ve changed my mind about pizza. Can we get Chinese instead? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

As before, the options seemed to continue ad infinitum.

<300> Hey Mom, would you please step out of the shower for a moment? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

Those are stiff debuffs, but the options aren’t grayed out, though. Does that mean that I can use them and Mom won’t react negatively to me being here or does it just mean that I can use them at all?

He thought about it for a moment, grateful again that the Menu had stopped time. Decisions were much easier when they didn’t have to be made in real-time.

He looked over the other options, which became progressively more lewd and point-intensive the further down he went through his options. The ones he wanted to use most were grayed out.

If only there was a way to increase Agreeableness Points at a steady, predictable rate.

And then it hit him like a ton of bricks.

Mom’s Agreeableness Point score was at 1500! It only increased to 1501 after I used that first dialogue option.

Kyle’s mind was in a haze as he thought about the implications of what he’d just discovered.

As long as I have enough Agreeableness Points with Mom, I can just use the Dialogue Menu to increase her Agreeableness score by selecting multiple dialogue options over time. Eventually I’ll have enough Agreeableness Points with her that I’ll be able to overcome all the point requirements and get her to do anything, but that’s IF the Menu works the way I think it does.

If time were still flowing as normal, Kyle imagined his cock would have torn through the fabric of his sweatpants.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, so let’s start small. At least with this dialogue option, I can pretend I didn’t peek on her in the shower if something goes wrong.

<01> Hi, Mom! (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

Selection made, the menu winked out of existence. Kyle felt his lips forming words and voice speaking and he still couldn’t make out the sound of his own voice. It was no less surreal of an experience than it had been the first time.

“Kyle?” His mother’s rich feminine voice responded over the sound of the shower. She sounded surprised and a touch uncomfortable, but the indignation Kyle had imagined being subject to for encroaching on the sanctity of his mother's private shower was nowhere to be found. “Honey, I’m taking a shower right now. Was there something you needed?”

He didn’t bother responding, instead activating the Dialogue Menu and choosing his mother as the subject. The Menu flowed quickly, adjusting to his specifications like a fifth limb.

Sandra Mitchell (1502 Agreeableness Points)

Hah! I was right!

<01> Yeah, I was wondering if we could talk for a moment. (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

<01> What do you think about getting something else instead of pizza? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

He scrolled further through the dialogue options with a mere thought.

<300> Hey, I was wondering if you’d mind stepping out of the shower for a minute? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

<400> Do you mind if I just stand here while you shower? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

Man, the possibilities seem endless, but I know which one I’ll pick for now, since a sufficient enough Agreeableness score seems to guarantee that Mom won’t react negatively when I use a dialogue option.

Metaphorical fingers crossed, he made his decision.

<300> Hey, I was wondering if you’d mind stepping out of the shower for a minute? (Debuff – Familial Propriety <700 points>)

The menu disappeared again and Kyle felt his mouth and voice go through the same strange motions as before.

“Sure, I can do that. I was almost finished anyway,” said Sandra and with a motion of her arm the shower cut off and the door opened, exposing Kyle’s vision to the splendor of his mother’s naked, curvy body for the first time since it had drawn his interest.

What's next?
