"And last but not least, up here on the honors residential floor, you have your very own luxury suite to live in during your stay here." My guide said.

Opening the door for me, she ushered me inside of what would be my place of stay for the next 4 years. After taking a step inside, I was immediately struck with awe by how beautiful everything looked, from the luxurious living room and entertainment center to the finely crafted kitchen and dining room. Dumbstruck, my hands lost their hold on my bags, the sound of them clunking on the ground snapping me out of my stupor.

Looking back towards my guide, I could see that she was smiling brightly at me and stifled a giggle over my reaction to my new home. Her smile and giggle slightly unnerved me as she stood before me with nothing but black lingerie and high heels. Across her cleavage, the words 'Campus Property' was tattooed. Back home, good quality slaves were rare with how poor the city was, and any woman who did find themselves enslaved in the city was usually sold off to some neighboring place where the customers paid more.

"Well then, it looks like you approve of the living situation. Just wait till you see the bedroom and bathroom.. oh and the balcony!" She excitedly said. She stopped herself and then pulled up the tablet she had in her hand, glancing over it before continuing on. "Let's see. I'm pretty sure that we've covered everything in the tour... did all that... and that... and oh yeah! There's one last thing left, but it doesn't need to be done immediately."

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's just that at some point today, you'll need to go down to the residential services downstairs. They have some extra paperwork you'll need to sign along with a welcome package that every honors student here at the university gets. Before I leave, though, do you have any questions?"

Unable to think of anything, I gave her a shake of my head.

"Excellent! Then I hope you have an extraordinary time here at our great university!" With a cheerful jump, the woman gave a goodbye before walking out of my room, her steps accentuating the curves of her ass.

As soon as the door closed behind her, I was left alone in silence. Glancing around, I took in more of the scene before me. I never saw a living space as grand as the one as I was standing in, and this was just the living room and kitchen area. Picking up my bags, I walked on over to the door to my bedroom and stepping in, I was once again amazed. In the center was a massive bed along with a large window overlooking the campus on the side with a desk in front of it. The bed itself was probably 3 times bigger than the one I had back home.

After unpacking my clothes and placing my laptop down on the desk, I took a quick peek into the bathroom, and yep, also fucking grander than the one I had at home. Well, the one at home was technically non-existent, so anything would've been better, but that's beside the point.

Walking back out into the living room, I decided to take a look over the balcony. Stepping outside, I could feel the chilly mountain air brush against my face. Before me was a sight even more beautiful than my room. I could see the entire campus and surrounding city from up above, along with the surrounding pine forest and mountains.

Tears began to drip onto my cheeks as I took in the sight.

I had made it. I had escaped the hellhole that was my previous home.

Growing up, my family was extremely poor; I'm talking trailer park trash poor. Like, I was lucky to get 3 sets of clothes some years and don't get me started on the bathroom. Let's just say that you have to get creative when the trailer you live in doesn't have one. Yep, that didn't exactly create any fond memories, and it certainly didn't help with my social standing in school.

So as soon as I started high school and learned all about college and scholarships, I made it my primary objective to do the absolute best I could in my academic studies. Which again, didn't exactly build a good standing socially in school.

Yet, being poor brought more than just a shitty house. As the financial situation grew tighter, my mom and dad began fighting both verbally and physically on a daily basis. It didn't take long for things to escalate. Soon the cops were called, and my mom was collared. By then, the New World Order had been around for a good year. Now let me ask you this. Do you know how scarring it is to witness a fat ugly man of a father fuck your mom all over the house? It certainly wasn't pleasant to see.

I barely had a house, had no friends, and had no real family. By that point, I was 100% sold on leaving the city as soon as possible.

Once graduation came around, I checked on my applications. I saw that I had received the Honors Scholarship at Mountain Pines University. Free room and board, top-of-the-line education, and miles away from home in a beautiful mountain valley. There was no hesitation from me, and I immediately accepted.

I just didn't expect the room to be so nice. From trailer park trash to penthouse nobility. This was surely a sign that my life was turning around.

In the distance, I could hear what sounded faintly like bells from the city. Glancing back, I saw that it was currently 3 pm on the clock. I still had to go downstairs to sign some paperwork and receive a welcome package, whatever that was.
