Chapter 12 by Zeebop Zeebop

What note does Lois write to herself?

DON'T HAVE SEX TONIGHT—DANGEROUS

The clock struck midnight. Lois Lane looked at the note in her hand. She recognized her own handwriting, but couldn't remember writing the note.

DON'T HAVE SEX TONIGHT—DANGEROUS

Her brow furrowed. The last thing she remembered was coming back from the club... She looked at herself, sitting naked on the bed. Had she fallen asleep? Had she been dreaming? That might explain the note. Lois often tried to write down her dreams when she woke up, before she forgot them. Except the bed was made. No indentation on the pillow.

What happened? Lois wondered. Lost time, a mysterious note...there was a definite mystery here.

Someone knocked at the door.

"Aagh," Lois set the note down, glanced around, found her black silk robe on the floor and rushed over to pull it on. "Just a minute!"

She cinched the robe tight around her trim waist. The robe was shorter and more revealing than she'd like, the upper portion loose enough to showcase a sliver of her bare breast, the bottom coming down barely to mid-thigh—but who could be knocking on her door at this hour?

Lois paused at the door. The chain was hanging loose, which was unlike her. Sure, Metropolis wasn't Gotham, but she normally kept the door locked at least... She shook her head and stared through the peephole.

The fish-eye view of her visitor showed a tall, almost statuesque woman in black jeans and boots, with a black dress on top that which left her arms bare. The skin was olive, for a Mediterranean look, the arms smooth but with hints of muscle. She didn't recognize the face, though there was something haltingly familiar about ti: dark curly hair that fell down to her broad shoulders, small breasts, a generous mouth curved into a half-knowing smile that reminded Lois of the Mona Lisa.

Her gut instinct was not to open the door...yet her curiosity was piqued. Who was this woman? How had she gotten into the apartment building?

Lois cracked open the door.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Hi," the woman said. A little taller than Lois, the reporter noticed. "I'm Angelica. I saw you at the club, but we didn't get a chance to talk..."

What Is Blaze's Line To Get In The Door?
