Chapter 5 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

What happens after the girls are done in the pool?

Mackenzie showers and realizes her clothes aren't there

Eventually, the girls had had enough playing in the pool, and the four young women emerged from the water to towel themselves off. While they each grabbed their towels, Mackenzie tried not to feel awkward about standing there naked in her best friend's backyard. (Although it wasn't the first time she'd been in that unique position. At least this time, the only ones around were her three closest friends. Unlike their Fourth of July celebration...)

Mackenzie had never completely stopped feeling embarrassed while they had been playing volleyball, but she'd found she was certainly still enjoying herself. Compared to winding up naked in front of her whole school, or in the middle of a crowded mall, being nude in the company of her friends wasn't that bad at all.

As per tradition, the four girls moved inside to each take a shower before the night proceeded. They all walked through the sliding glass door into the basement, three of them still wearing the bathing suits they'd exited with. None of them noticed the four boys hiding behind sofas and armchairs.

"Really, I'm so sorry about the bikini, Jess," Mackenzie said again, looking at the ruined garment in her friend's hands. She could hardly believe she'd managed to not only burst out of the top, but the bottoms as well.

"Look, Kenz it's fine," Jess said. "It was an old swimsuit anyway."

And besides, she thought to herself, the view alone was well worth it.

Amy and Lily took the stairs up to the ground floor. Jess's house had three showers in it, and Mackenzie typically took the shower in the basement. Jess, always polite, usually waited to take her shower until her other guests were finished. But this time, she stayed back, awkwardly standing next to Mackenzie.

We're alone. Now's my chance! Jess thought, ready to confess finally.

"Say, Mackenzie..." she said, already sounding embarrassed.

"Hm?" Mackenzie replied. She'd been ready to head right into the bathroom, eager to stop feeling like she was standing naked in the middle of the basement's entertainment room.

As the redhead turned, giving Jess a lovely full frontal view of her gorgeous body yet again, Jess lost her resolve. Her knees practically buckled and she audibly gulped.

"I-I'll go grab your bag and bring it down! Haveaniceshower!" Jess called as she practically bolted up the stairs.

Mackenzie still wasn't quite sure what was up with her friend that night. But, she didn't need to be told twice. She quickly entered the bathroom, turned on the hot water, and prepared for a much needed relaxing shower.

"Alright, coast is as clear as it's getting," Josh said.

It had been five full minutes since Jess had returned and deposited Mackenzie's bag outside the bathroom door. The boys followed the lead of their host and carefully emerged from their hiding places behind the furniture.

"Go!" Josh whispered. "Out the back, let's go!"

"Wait!" Tony whined. He kept glancing at the small bag that Jess had next to the bathroom door. He seemed unsure what to say next for a few moments before finally saying, "What if we... I don't know... just checked her bag first. Y'know, just to see what she's, um, planning on wearing...?"

"Tony..." Josh chided. "You wouldn't be thinking of taking poor Mackenzie's clothing would you?"

"What?! No, of course not!" he sputtered. "I-I just was curious about her... her fashion sense!"

"Huh," Josh said, as if impressed. "Well damn. You're a better man than me. I took her things out of her bag while they were swimming. Now, let's go!"

"Wha-" Tony said, flabbergasted as the boys rushed out the back of the house. "Why you dirty little-"

Mackenzie stepped out of the shower into the steamy bathroom and began toweling herself sry. The redhead had thoroughly enjoyed her shower. It had seriously helped set her mind at ease, and reminded her to truly enjoy this last night of fun with her friends. However, her good mood was soon dashed when she opened the door to the hallway and checked her backpack, dutifully left in the hall by Jess. There were literally no clothes in it whatsoever.

"What?" she muttered to herself, looking desperately through the bag to no avail. She moved it back inside the bathroom and closed the door. "Where did all my clothes go?!"

Had one of her friends taken them out? It was possible, but didn't seem likely. Unless, of course, they had decided that Mackenzie might as well spend the rest of their sleepover naked... But that would be the kind of thing Amy would pull, and she wasn't exactly shy about saying such comments to Mackenzie's face.

It was also possible that Mackenzie had simply left the clothes she'd worn over to Jess's place (namely jean shorts and a tank top) in her friend's room somewhere after changing into the bikini. But that didn't explain where the rest of her stuff went! She'd packed pajamas, clothes for tomorrow, and even an extra change of clothes just to be safe! Mackenzie thought back a few hours, when she'd been packing the bag. She vividly remembered picking the clothes out, placing them on her bed, folding them up, and then... getting distracted by scrolling through old pictures of Ryan. Shit, did she forget to actually pack the clothes?

Mackenzie sadly realized that, yes, it was a distinct possibility given how easily distracted and somewhat scatterbrained she'd been over the past few days. Just yesterday she'd gone out to check the mailbox, at the request of her parents, after spending the morning crying in bed (likely an attempt on their part to help **** her out of bed). She hadn't noticed until she was halfway across the street that she'd neglected to actually put on any pants first. Quite a few neighbors had gotten a good look at her favorite polka dotted panties that day.

Still, that wasn't nearly as bad as the day before. Mackenzie had been taking a walk through the park, hoping to improve her mood. When she'd walked by a small building, she'd noticed in a window's reflection that she was wearing a t-shirt that Ryan had given her as a gift. She still couldn't quite say how it had happened, but she'd suddenly been overwhelmed by emotions. A powerful mixture of sadness at missing Ryan coupled with simultaneous anger at him for breaking up with her. She felt abandoned by him, even downright betrayed in that very moment. Her anger quickly rose until it was bubbling over. She couldn't stand to wear that traitor's gift a second longer.

Before she even knew what she was doing, Mackenzie had whisked off the t-shirt and started ripping it in half. Then into quarters. As she began to rip the fabric into even smaller pieces, Mackenzie suddenly remembered where she was. Standing in the middle of a semi-crowded park. She glanced around and saw that, yes, nearly everyone around her was staring at her like she was crazy. The furious tears that she hadn't even realized had been pouring down her face quickly switched to tears of embarrassment and shame as Mackenzie began running home, clutching the pieces of fabric over her bra-clad breasts.

Mackenzie felt utterly stupid, recalling the events. She couldn't believe she'd been so mad that she'd actually ripped her own shirt off in public. But that bolstered her hypothesis that she'd been distracted enough to forget to pack herself clothes for the sleepover. But that would be alright. She could always borrow something from Jess.

Mackenzie exited the basement bathroom in just the towel, holding her empty bag in one hand, and made her way upstairs. She was heading for the stairs to the second story, which were situated right by the front door, when said door suddenly burst open, revealing four familiar faces.

Startled, Mackenzie jumped quite a bit. She managed to retain her grip on her bag, but her towel was another story. She hadn't actively been holding it, so her sudden jolt was enough of a disturbance to dislodge it completely. And so Mackenzie found herself standing there, not five feet away from Josh and his three friends.

For a few long moments, she stood there, frozen in complete surprise and disbelief, able to do nothing but blush. The four lucky boys took in the sight of every inch of Mackenzie's pale skin. Then, Mackenzie finally came to her senses enough to flee. She screamed, clutched her bag in front of her torso, and began running up the stairs to Jess's room.

"Holy shit..." Lee muttered as he and his friends gawked at the sprinting girl's lovely retreating ass.

"Guys, I think it's gonna be a good night tonight," Josh mused aloud. His friends silently nodded.

What does Mackenzie find in Jess's room? Is she able to get dressed?
