Mackenzie and Rachel are sent to prison

"In the light of the evidence presented, and given the gravity of the facts, I hereby sentence you to a week imprisonment at the Scarlett Lake Correctional Center, to be served immediately." Gavel. Mackenzie froze then screamed. "No!" One week! For what? She had only lost her keys!

Mackenzie's head was spinning as she looked at Willow, who comforted her. "Don't worry, we will appeal." "What do you mean? What's happening? Why are you Rachel's attorney, even?" Mackenzie was ranting angrily as she was shackled and dragged away to the bus that would carry her to prison. She didn't hear Willow's answer, but, shortly after, Rachel joined her.

"What's happening? Why was Willow defending you too?" Mackenzie tried to get answers from Rachel, but before her friend could answer they were both silenced by a guard that patrolled the aisle separating the two. "Quiet, prisoners." she said and the ensuing threats reduced both to silence, which they kept for the whole duration of the ride.

The Scarlett Lake Correctional Center was a new facility, about an hour drive away - in the country side. A small building with a large yard, surrounded by protective fences and gates, occupied the center of a valley surrounded by forested hills, next to a lake. Were it not for its purpose, it could be considered quite a beautiful setting. The bus carrying Rachel and Mackenzie passed a couple of checkpoints before it entering the main gate, and with that, prison life began for the two.
