Jane's Options to stop La

Jane had gathered what was going on quickly. First was the fact her entire universe had changed, including William Clayton being alive again. Few people she knew had the power and the motive to do this. The obvious being La, who wanted Tarzan for her own and to make Jane either dead or suffering. Also of note was the pictures of Tarzan parents as the former Viscount and Viscountess of Greystrokes, and William Clayton's cousins. Making him Tarzan's cousin. Which was disturbing to think about.

'So my husband is likely under the spell of that bitch, and I am hundreds of miles away. The fact I can remember the past means either La did this to make me suffer, or she can't stop me from remembering. Everyone else seems to remember only this world. So likely only La and myself are like this.' she thought to herself as she had retired to the maid chambers. Sipping some tea, as she tried to gather what she had learned over the day.

'I have to get back to the Jungle. Get back to La and break whatever spell she has used. Or find a way to use it to get everything back to normal. The only plan I have at the moment is to use Clayton to get back. He had wanted to use our expedition to get gorillas to sell, making a profit. It might be possible to convince him to do something similar. The problem is people don't take maids on safari... unless...

No. Not that. To seduce Clayton to do that and take me with him. Use him as protection as I get to La and her magic. But I'm not a scarlet woman, I'm married! Except I'm not, not in this world. A great moral debate. Is it cheating if you are married in one timeline, and have sex with another man in a timeline.' she thought to herself as she had to see what she could work with.

The plan she had was moral repugent for her, would likely involve fighting her in-laws and Tarzan himself since he would be remade in La's murderous image, and have to search for La's magic which could change things around. Or finding some other way, but that would take more time, resources and effort. But wouldn't require her to seduce and likely sleep with a man she was disgusted with. Those were her current options for getting her life back.
