Isabelle Getting Ready

Lauren awakes to see Isabelle getting dressed. She has her gambeson on and is slowly adding pink pieces of armor. That and her hair, braided now to only go to her shoulders, reminds him of his wishes. He might have thought they were dreams if the proof is not in front of him. And he only made things worse with his wishes. He needed to figure out how to fix Isabelle. The armor seemed easy enough, but bringing her back to human might be a problem. First of all, it wasn't certain she would go back to the way she was originally. Secondly, Lauren had made every cat shifter permanently in heat. He could wish it back if he knew how it worked originally, but he didn't. Would the wishing stone know that? Would it care? He needed to consult someone.

"Isabelle. I think I might have made a mistake."

Isabelle turned around and smiled, "We all make mistakes, Lauren. Was it a big mistake?"

"It might be. I don't know yet. Do you remember yesterday when we were talking about wishes?"

"You were pretending that your wishes were being granted and pranked me into thinking it was a curse for a minute. Then we talked about what we would like if we did have wishes."

"Right. And you remember what you told me you wanted for yourself personally?"

"That I could not get pregnant unless I wanted to."

Lauren blinked. Of course that part of the conversation would change, though he had not expected it to go that direction. Should he... It was risky, but that might be the best fix for cat shifters and it would be giving Isabelle what she wanted. Quietly, he said, "I wish cat shifters could only become pregnant if they chose to."

Isabelle leaned forward, "What? I didn't catch that."

Lauren shook his head, "Nothing."

Isabelle shrugged, "Want to have sex before we hit the road?"

Lauren was just standing up and had to sit back down in shock, "What?!"

Isabelle came over concerned, "Hey hey. Don't worry. I can cure any disease and can't get pregnant, remember?"

Lauren realized that he was just making Isabelle more promiscuous with every wish. Maybe getting it out of his system would help him think more clearly and fix this?
