The Book of Power

I hear a light knock on my bedroom door. "Come in!" I yell. It's Cassidy with breakfast in hand for me. "Oh my god! You didn't have to do this for me"

Cassidy puts the tray of food over my lap. "I know but I wanted to do something nice for you, it is your birthday after all."

"Well that is very sweet of you, thank you." I leaned towards her an gave her a light peck on her forehead. "Seriously, this means so much to me."

She stands back up. "No problem." She smiles. "I also got you this." She grabs a smallish notebook from behind her which I assume was tucked into the waistband of her yoga pants. She hands me the book and it looks really old, like 100 years old. " I found it at that hipster bookstore that you spend all your time in there."

She knew me so well. A passion of mine is old and first edition books, I probably have like 100 books that fit into either of the categories. "Awesome! thank you sooo much!" I open it up and on the first page it says 'The Book of Power' and as the subtitle is says 'It will reveal to the chosen one'. I look puzzled. "You found this at that bookstore?"

She gets all excited. "Yeah I was tearing up the place looking for the oldest thing I could find. I found this book under some shelves when I was picking up another book that i dropped on the ground. I know it' not usually what you go for cause it seems more like a notebook than anything but I thought you would like it."

"Trust me I do, this is really cool. It seems like a misprint though because it only has print on the first page." Cassidy leaves the room and I can't help but stare at her ass as she leaves. I put the book down and eat my breakfast.

When I'm done eating I take a look at the book again to see if I missed anything. I open the book up and the first page looks the same as the last time but When I flip the page there is text that fades in and it says. "Write down anything you want to change about the world, If you fill up the book it will mysteriously gain new pages." What the hell?!?! How did it do that? I wonder if it's a prank by Cassidy to see my deepest darkest desires.
