Chapter 17 by Zeebop Zeebop

How Many Cards Does Lois Take?

Two Cards

Lois Lane discarded everything except the pair. The demon dealt and Lois slid the new cards up to see what she had to work with.

4♣ 4♦ 4♥ 2♦ 2♣

The reporter's heart leapt. This was almost too good to be true. A full house almost certainly beat anything that Blaze could muster. The question now was how to best take advantage of this stroke of fortune.

Lois felt a chip under her fingers...and looked down to see a heavy marble circle, carved with her own name. Her own soul-chip.

How confident am I really? She thought, mulling over the possibilities if she lost. Yet the gambler in her knew that this was the heart of poker: finding the tiniest advantage and betting big...

"Bet," Lois said, tossing her soul into the pot.

The demon stared at the chip coolly.

"That's a courageous bet," Blaze said, after a moment. "But what will you do if I see you—and raise?"

Two soul-chips dropped into the pot.

It's a bluff. Lois thought. It has to be a bluff. She's trying to buy her way out. But I can't back out, not now. It's all or nothing...

That gave Lois an idea.

Lois began to push chips forward. What was her ass worth? Two chips, in the pot. Her lips? Also two. One for her mouth, one for her asshole, her vagina...

A parity was reached. Lois could feel the balance. Now...

"What are my eggs worth, to you?" The reporter asked smoothly.

The demon actually blinked. Lois saw the tip of her scarlet cock wiggle, just above the edge of the table felt, and knew she'd scored a hit.

"Table stakes, you said," the reporter said. "Would you say the pot is balanced?"

"Yes-s-s-s..." the scarlet succubus admitted.

"Then I see you, and raise my eggs. If you win, you can impregnate me. However you want."

The demon considered this bet. Her hand came up with the last remaining soul chip. Lois could feel herself starting to sweat, adrenaline pumping through her veins as her body thought she was involved in some life-or-**** contest...which she was, in a way. The excitement was almost sexual; Lois hadn't played for stakes this high in her entire life, and it was simultaneously exciting and horrifying.

"Call," she said. "Show your cards."

Is Lois Confident In Her Hand?
