Through An Old Village

Just ahead of you both seems to be some kind of abandoned village or group of structures. You decide to try that and see if it leads anywhere.

You look back to the mud slime and motion to her as you try to tell her. "Hay, um... Wait, what's your name?" You only get another confused look from her as she has no answer. "So, no name I'm guessing? Well.... How about... Messy?" She smiles in what seems like approval with a happy expression. "Ok Messy, lets get going. That treasure ain't ganna find itself." You both shove off toward the village, Messy staying close behind you, almost on your heels. You drag through the mud while Messy walks with ease and even moves ahead of you. You continue barefoot through the gunk tell you make it to an opening in the stone brick walls surrounding the village. When you finally get there, you're almost out of breath from the ruff walk over. The village is completely flooded with at least a foot and a half of muck and waste waters filling the grounds. A destroyed stone wall at least 10ft tall and a foot thick surrounds the property, redoosted to nothing but rubble in some areas. Wooden structures have all but rotted away while stone homes and buildings still standing are flooded without doors. A row of 4 small houses on both sides line out from the entrance as you both make your way in from a hole in the old wall.

Not much else is left. There are random objects like broken carriages and a decrepit well but besides that, it was empty. You head to the center of the area and look about the town. Something strange does catch your eye.
