The Truth

Lois looked around to make sure nobody is blatantly snooping on her and Tyrell before speaking. There were lots of people in the club but it was definitely too loud for a casual listener to overhear.

“To tell you the truth, I’m here looking for some missing women.” Lois says to her dance partner. The two were almost entwined now, Tyrell’s dancing getting right into Lois’ space. But she didn’t really mind, this was the way to dance these days, right?

“There’s been a number of women who just disappear after coming to this club. You know anything about that?”

Tyrell didn’t speak for a moment as if he was thinking. Suddenly he stepped in real close and closed his arms around Lois. She was about to protest and knock his hands away when he leaned in close to her ear to speak.

“I might know something about that. Let’s get a booth and maybe I can tell you about those girls.” He said softly before moving back to dancing normally. Lois’ heart was racing, both from the closeness she just had with Tyrell and the revelation that he knows something. Everything was going her way it seems. She tried to keep dancing normally as not to make a scene and nodded at him and then to a booth along on the side of the room. Tyrell hooked his arm around Lois and walked with her to their seats.

Meanwhile, one of the numerous cameras in the club continues to follow the reporter and her new friend. Blaze watched the monitor, curious to see where this lead.

“So, Tyrell found her first, hmm?” She said to herself. But slowly a wide grin stretched across her face followed by a small laugh.

“Well, this should be a fun watch.”

Back at the booth, Tyrell flagged down a waitress girl and ordered some drinks for them. Before long the pair had more booze, which Lois sipped on. She was already a bit drunk and some more definitely wouldn’t help. But she needed this info.
