The demon took a deep breath. "Eighteen to nineteen. You win." She managed a smile as she held up another soul chip. "Double or nothing?"

Lois considered her options. If she retired, at least one soul was safe. But if she played...she could either win two souls, or none—but she wouldn't have to give up her pussy, either. Lois peeked at her card, and debated her odds. Blaze had a queen, but hadn't flipped her card over, so it wasn't a natural. Something between twelve and twenty, then. Bad odds, when Lois had 13—but if she was dealt a face card, she would go bust.

If she bluffed however...stayed where she was at, even though Blaze had a queen showing...then Blaze would think she had something to high to take a hit. she'd have to take a hit herself, and then maybe she'd go bust...
