Chapter 64 by jonjacobs64 jonjacobs64

And the winner is...

Rebecca

"Rebecca!" calls Ariel.

Shit, you think.

"Whatever," Candy says, keeping her eye on you. Then she adds, "Maybe some other time."

"Okay, bitch," Madison gloats, "time for a ride!" She and Jillian hold open the office door as Shonda and Candy push her through.

"Hey, wait!" you shout, but the people have spoken. They're marching Rebecca toward her proverbial doom.

"So, they're doing it?" you hear from behind you. You turn and see Rachel approaching from her mom's office.

"Yeah," you say. "They're doing it."

"Serves her right," Rachel says. "I mean, she is bitch. She's always giving us a hard time, and she goes out of her way to flirt with the other cheerleaders' boyfriends. And the way she treated me..." She trails off, remembering the humiliation that you very much were a part of. "Anyway, serves her right."

"Maybe," you say, and both of you exit the front office to get a clearer view of the drama that's about to unfold.

Jillian and Madison hold open the door to the front hallway. It's well-lit, with trophy cases lining the walls. In the middle of the hallway is a pile of clothes and a cell phone. It's probably fifty feet from the door to the main part of the school where Rebecca is now ... but it may as well be fifty miles.

"Don't forget to smile for the cameras!" Ariel shouts gleefully. You notice the two security cameras along the ceiling near the entrance to the school. They're meant to transmit the normal goings-on of an average high school to curious parents at home; surely no one had ever intended anything like this. "Oh wait," Ariel adds. "You can't smile because your mouth is taped shut. Oh well."

At this, Rebecca shouts what you assume are muffled curses at her tormentors. And then she's off. Shonda and Candy shove her office chair through the door, and the naked cheerleader glides into the front hallway.

The wheeled chair comes to rest about halfway to the pile of clothes. When it does, Rebecca stands up, her ankles still held together, and you watch indecision wash over her face. Should she try, somehow, to pick up her clothing? Should she make her way back toward her tormentors? Should she simply try to exit the building? You don't know what _you _would do in this situation, and though you feel awful for this girl you have a crush on, you're also relieved that it's not actually you out there.

It looks like Rebecca's made a decision, and she starts to move.

Where does Rebecca try to go?
