Rachel and Mackenzie get processed and charged

The ride was uneventful. Mackenzie and Rachel avoided each other in a persistent, angry silence. Neither one could believe that she was driven around town, handcuffed in a police car. Mackenzie was embarrassed at being naked and fuming at Rachel for turning her in, while Rachel was simply shocked at having been arrested along Mackenzie.

Mackenzie lived in small community, and a relatively quiet one. The jail was a rather small place, looking more like an extension to sheriff's office. A few holding cells, that occasionally held some drunks and brawlers. The rare more serious cases would be sent to the county jail next door. The girls where photographed (much to Mackenzie's embarrassment), fingerprinted, and charged - Mackenzie with indecent exposure and Rachel with filing a false report.

And things started to go downhill from there. Being a Saturday, the girls were told, the arraignment and bail hearing were scheduled for Monday, so they had to spend the weekend in jail. The ensuing tantrum by both Rachel and Mackenzie was rapidly quelled by the deputy and her colleagues, who used the threats of using their nightsticks and tasers to great effect to calm down the two.

"So, let's what we have here ..." Deputy Taylor said, examining the papers as she got ready to send them to the holding cells.
