Chapter 18 by Zeebop Zeebop

Does Lois Continue The Date, or Leave The Restaurant?

Lois Continues The Date

Cheer up, Lane, Lois told herself as she washed her hands in the mirror. You're no longer Superman's girlfriend. Whole new world, new possibilities.

Angelica Blaze smiled at her as she came in. The food had not yet arrived.

"I was a little scared you weren't coming back," Lois Lane's date admitted.

Lois smiled as she sat down.

"We've hardly gotten to know each other," the reporter said. "If I left now, I wouldn't get to learn any more about you. So tell me: who is Angelica Blaze?"

So they talked. Angelica spoke of men with the power of gods and seductive succubi, thousands of years of life torn between Earth and Hell; Lois spoke of growing up an army brat, the loss of her mother, coming to Metropolis. As the food came, conversation died down, though it never stopped. Almost despite herself, Lois found a level of unexpected interest in Angelica Blaze—who never lied, not once as far as she could tell, though she suspected the demon might be omitting a few key details here and there.

Lois sipped her wine as the waiter took the plates away. That was true for both of them.

Still, I have to admit...I'm enjoying myself, the reporter thought. It's like an interview only...more intimate. No holds barred.

"So, what villainous scheme are you up to now?" Lois asked, half in jest.

"Well, Lois, if you must know," Blaze said as she emptied the last of the wine into their glasses. "I was planning to seduce you and get into your pants again over dessert."

Lois smiled, not at all put out by the prospect. They'd already had sex, and neither of them was taking that off the table. Still, she decided to issue the demonic dickgirl a little challenge:

"Can you do it sitting over there?"

How Does Blaze Respond?
