Waller's ultimatum

Waller looked Lois directly in the eyes. "Then we will have to dispose of you, because you know too much. It's that simple. You either do it, or you end up dead."

Maria was still holding on to Lois's hand. She looked at Waller in shock. "You can't do that to her!" she protested. "I brought her here in good will. You'll make me responsible for her **** if she declines to do this."

"It looks like you have some feelings for this subject Maria. Who is she to you?" Waller waited for the answer.

"She's my friend, and I love her dearly" Maria's answer came.

"I have rules I must follow to the letter" Waller stated. "When you signed on, you took the same risk."

"But that was different. I wanted to. I was tired of being who I was, and you got your soldier out of it."

"So I did" Waller smiled. "And you got a nice female body in return. But I suppose for your sake, if Joanne declines, we could always erase her memory of this ever happening. That would be the only other choice."

Lois breathed a sigh of relief. She could either go through with this, or be made to forget it ever happened. If she chose not to do it, her time spent on the story would go down the tubes, and the four women who disappeared would never be found. Was it too much to give in, and have a baby? But it would more than likely be a super human who would mercilessly hunt down super heroes. It's just one soldier, she told herself. Many more lives are at stake than just one.

Waller looked hard at Lois. "So what is your answer, Miss Lane?"

Lois was shocked! Waller knew exactly who she was the entire time. How would she get out of this now?
