Whores On Multiple Earths

"So you're telling me," the first Lois Lane began. "That four women from my earth have disappeared..."

"...and four prostitutes that look just like normal college students have appeared on mine." The other Lois finished. "Yeah, that's about the size of it."

"Marketing angle?" Lois raised an eyebrow. "Girl next door?"

"Yeah, I think that's the trick," other-Lois agreed, mirroring the eyebrow gesture with a smile. "Pay enough money, fuck the woman of your dreams. Only she isn't the girl next door, she's the girl from the next dimension over."

"Hmm. Makes me wonder why the women are being taken from my dimension." Lois thought out loud. She instinctively tried to cross her arms in front of her chest, then realized other-Lois was doing it too. The women smiled and dropped ther hands to their sides.

"Could be you're just the slutty dimension," other-Lois stuck her tongue out. Lois resisted the urge to lean in for a kiss, "But remember, these are only the four we know of. We don't know how many people have been displaced."

"Or who's doing the displacing. My source said cultists..." Lois began.

"...I heard it was a new prostitution ring. No religious angle." other-Lois added. "No names, either, except for one."

"More than I've got. Spill." Lois found it oddly hypnotic staring into her other-self's eyes, seeing her own face reflected back at her...and could tell her doppelganger felt the same way.

After this, Lois thought. If I get a chance before going back to my world, I want to fuck my brains out.

"Word on the street says the person running the show is named Blaze," other-Lois said. "Heard anything about her in your world?"

A chill ran down Lois Lane's spine, as though someone were walking on her grave.
