Chapter 21 by Zeebop Zeebop

The End

Epilogue: Dickless in Metropolis

LAST MOTHER OF KRYPTON
SUPERGIRL KNOCKED UP
FATHER UNKNOWN

Lois Lane stared at the headline, shaking her head slowly. Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet, was not known for burying the lede. Jimmie Olsen had managed to capture a peach of a shot to go with it though: an action scene of the "Last Mother of Krypton" putting the smackdown on a couple of bank robbers, the slightest but unmistakable swell to her belly standing out on her thin frame.

The reporter set the paper down. Kara had been good about the interview, really. They had both agreed it was best to get it out there before any of the gossip rags or bloggers got ahold of it and tried to twist the facts. There was already talk of putting Lois up for the Pulitzer for the scoop.

But the added strain on their relationship was taking its toll. Even four months pregnant, Kara was going out on patrol every day. Their intimate moments were getting less and less frequent, and less and less satisfying. Superman and Power Girl were the only ones who knew everything about it—the conception, the decision to raise the baby, moving in together...and they had been wonderfully supportive. Still, their relationship felt like it was on the rocks.

Lex Luthor had been as good as his word that the cock was temporary, and within forty-eight hours the reporter had been back to normal...and that's when the trouble started. Despite their best efforts, and they had both stretched their comfort zone as far as toys were concerned, neither Lois Lane nor Supergirl were lesbians.

Face it Lane, she told herself. You miss fucking that pussy.

Groaning inwardly, Lois Lane picked up the phone and dialed the executive line for LexCorp.

"It's an out-patient procedure," the bald mad scientist had told her before they started. Lois laid on the hospital gurney, dressed in a paper smock, staring up at pink lights. "You should be able to go home almost immediately, although we'd like you to come back for evaluation in a week— sooner if you experience any health or performance issues."

"Is it permanent?" Was the only question the reporter asked. Nothing about whether it hurt, or what favor Luthor would extract from her in the future in return for services rendered. He stared at her as though mentally peeling back the layers of skin and muscles.

"The process is still experimental. The former test subjects have remained altered, and show no signs of regression."

"Former test subjects?"

"Mice," Luthor said as he donned a heavy set of goggles, and began powering up the machine.

Supermice. Lois grimaced, but said nothing. Well, call me Lois Labrat.

The world went red.

Kara Zor-El, Supergirl—she wondered when she should make the transition to Superwoman—landed almost silently on the balcony, one hand resting protectively on her belly. While the baby was no more than a few ounces, an insignificant amount considering her superstrength, the psychological weight of it was much greater.

Her super-smell detected Vietnamese food, hot and fresh—and homemade pickles, which made her mouth water. Lois was spoiling her babymama again. The thought gave the young mother-to-be a warm glow. She did care for Lois deeply, and was glad that the older woman was there to help her through the pregnancy, help her raise their baby...but she could feel the distance between them, the frustration. Neither of them could quite give the other what they wanted, and it was tearing them apart.

Kara put a smile on her face, determined to do her best to make it work. She slid open the balcony door and walked in, cheerfully announcing "Honey, I'm home!" like some sitcom housewife.

Lois was in the dining room, laying out the feast. Supergirl noticed immediately that she was wearing nothing but an apron, heart sinking at yet another attempt to bridge their tattered libidos. Still, there was something else...something different about Lois, a smile that Kara couldn't remember seeing, a sense of confidence and excitement that had been missing for weeks. And the food smelled wonderful.

"How's mama doing?" The almost-naked reporter said, moving out a chair for Supergirl. The blonde smiled at the little gesture as she sat down, glad for this little intimacy...even if the inevitable bedroom antics would likely be disappointing.

"There was a rogue Green Lantern in Las Vegas. A Star Sapphire tried to possess me, and it got into a three-way battle," the Kryptonian poured her pho from a plastic container into a black ceramic bowl and picked up the wide, flat-bottomed spoon. "How was your day?"

"I had an appointment. At LexCorp." The reporter's hands fell on the blonde's shoulders, gripping and massaging the invulnerable body as well as she could.

Kara stopped, spoon in her mouth. Slurped and swallowed.

The chair she was sitting in had an open back. But something was rubbing gently against her spine, at what would be waist-height on the reporter. Supergirl's eyes went wide. Lois lowered her mouth to the blonde's ear.

"Finish your dinner," she whispered to the mother of her child. "And there'll be cream pie for dessert."
