The coast is still clear.

Now up close to the house, Mackenzie could see into the kitchen and living room of Diane's home fairly well. No signs of life anywhere! The naked redhead turned her attention back to the clothes in front of her and quickly took stock of what was on the line.

Most of the laundry seemed to be various white and gray button-up blouses. Mackenzie quickly grabbed a white one and slid her arms into its sleeves. She didn't waste time buttoning it up yet. Eyes scanning the shirts, Mackenzie was just about to consider taking a second shirt to fashion into a makeshift skirt when she spotted it. At the far end of the line was a single pair of jeans.

_Score! _she thought as she yanked them free too.

Content with having a full outfit, and not wanting to spend a single second longer than necessary in enemy territory, Mackenzie booked it for the fence bordering her own yard. She chucked the jeans over the top and jumped up, grabbing the top of the fence. Mackenzie's fitness paid off as she was able to quickly hoist herself up and over the wooden barrier. She let herself dangle for a moment before letting go and dropping the last several feet to the ground, safely back in her own yard.

Her final descent was accompanied by several soft but rapid snapping sounds from the newly acquired shirt. Puzzled, Mackenzie glanced down at the blouse. It was still unbuttoned, but otherwise seemed perfectly intact.

Wonder what that was... Mackenzie thought as she glanced back at the fence. There seemed to be some tiny objects wedged in a crack in the wood. Are those... buttons?!

With renewed fear, Mackenzie's gaze shot back down to the shirt. Sure enough, the stolen blouse was now missing all its buttons! Mackenzie had been pressed up against a deep but narrow crack in the wood before her drop, and that crack had seen fit to snap the buttons off the descending redhead's shirt one by one.

"Shit!" Mackenzie muttered to herself, pulling the shirt closed over her bared breasts. The blouse was big enough to keep her sizable chest covered when she held it closed, thankfully. But every time Mackenzie let go, it completely parted down the middle, exposing a wide strip of pale skin from neck to stomach and just barely keeping her nipples covered.

Well it's way better than being naked! The now only half-naked redhead reminded herself. And speaking of...

Mackenzie picked up the jeans and began tugging them up her legs. Diane was a bit shorter than Mackenzie, so the jeans were a tad small. Mackenzie was able to work them up to a wearable level, but they sat a bit low on her hips. Mackenzie was able to zip them up, but the jeans were just barely too tight for Mackenzie to fasten the button, no matter how hard she tried. Luckily the blouse was long enough to cover the tops of her jeans, so nobody would notice.

"Crisis averted." a fully dressed Mackenzie happily proclaimed. "Next stop, Marianne's place!"

Normally, Mackenzie would have dreaded having to walk a full two miles with tight pants, an open shirt, and no shoes. But after starting the morning facing the prospect of making that trek absolutely naked, Mackenzie found herself in high spirits. So, the redhead walked out of her front yard with a hand clutching her blouse shut and a smile on her face.

"It's looking like a beautiful morning after all!" Mackenzie said as she began heading down the sidewalk towards her best friend's apartment.
