The reporter's eyes widened. Luthor harrumphed. "Essentially correct. The sexual reassignment can be accomplished quickly and painlessly and, of course, is strictly temporary, wearing off within 48 hours—just as the Kryptonian's transformations do. We have been prepping Maria with medications to ensure conception—"

"Fertility ****? Really, Lex." Lois brought her hands up to her head and massaged her temples. "What about...I dunno, artificial insemination?"

"A possibility, if you're really not up to it." Luthor conceded. "Although the 'old-fashioned way' has its advantages, biochemically speaking. Of course, you two would be afforded privacy for the act itself. We would only monitor your vitals passively to ensure there are no complications."
