Not right away, but she finds some help

A thoroughly embarrassing eight minutes later, a panting and sweating Mackenzie finally made it to the fourth floor of her dorm building. She'd been seen by nearly a dozen different people during her streak back to her room, but given that earlier she'd been seen by hundreds of people, Mackenzie figured the sprint wasn't the worst part of her evening.

Mackenzie made it to her door and turned the handle, only to find the room locked. Both she and Willow had gone to the show together, so naturally they had left the room locked behind them. And that meant Mackenzie's key was still in the pocket of her jeans. The same jeans that were now in some random audience member's possession. The naked redhead was locked out.

Mackenzie looked around the deserted hallway for a moment before her eyes settled on Marianne's door. She hastily began knocking on the door, desperately hoping her friend was there.

"Marianne?! Are you there?"

There was an agonizingly long few seconds of silence before the door began opening, much to Mackenzie's relief.

"Oh thank g- oh!" Mackenzie exclaimed. It wasn't Marianne who stood before her, but her roommate, Ashley.

"Whoa!" the skinny brunette said, clearly surprised to find Mackenzie standing there completely naked. "What's, uh, going on Mackenzie?"

"I'm locked out of my room. Can I come in please?" Mackenzie said, trying and failing to keep the desperation out of her voice.

"Uh... yeah! Yeah, come in." Ashley said, opening the door enough to allow the naked girl inside.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Mackenzie rambled as she rushed inside, with Ashley closing the door behind her.

"So, uh..." Ashley asked, "Why are you naked?"

"I-it's a long story," Mackenzie blushed. "I was going to try and borrow something to wear from Marianne while I waited for Willow to get back, but since she's not here do you think I could borrow something of yours?"

"Oh, sure!" Ashley said, grabbing a towel out of her nearby closet. She held it out to Mackenzie, who reluctantly relinquished the hand covering her breasts to grab it. But when her hand was just a few inches away, a playful smile touched Ashley's lips and she whisked the towel out of Mackenzie's reach. The sudden unexpected move caused Mackenzie to jump slightly and meekly move her hand back to her chest. "After you tell me how you ended up naked," the brunette said.

"Oh come on, Ashley." Mackenzie pleaded, "I don't really wanna talk about th-"

"Tell me." Ashley said, in a surprisingly authoritative tone.

Mackenzie gulped, but seeing no other option, she relented. She gave a very brief rundown on how disastrously her hypnotism had gone, all while awkwardly standing in the room naked.

"And so I ran back here, but my room's locked. So now I just need to borrow something to wear until Willow gets back," Mackenzie finished.

Ashley stared at Mackenzie for a moment, her expression unreadable. Then she nodded and tossed the towel to the nude girl, as if she had passed some important test. Mackenzie awkwardly caught it and quickly wrapped it around her body.

"Thanks," Mackenzie said, genuinely glad for the cover. Although she wouldn't have minded some actual clothes instead of just a towel. But she wasn't about to bring that up with Ashley, given how the girl had been hesitant to even hand over the towel.

Over the next half hour, the two girls casually chatted, which helped Mackenzie feel slightly more at ease. What wasn't helping her uneasiness was the occasional looks Ashley would give her. It didn't seem like she was checking Mackenzie out so much as she was... sizing Mackenzie up? A few times Mackenzie could've sworn Ashley was about to pounce and rip the towel off her body. But that was surely just her nerves, right? Why would her friend do that?

Eventually, Mackenzie heard the familiar voice of Willow in the hallway, and she eagerly got up to leave. She opened the door just in time to see Willow stepping into their nearby room. Mackenzie was about to follow suit when Ashley suddenly and commandingly said, "STOP." Mackenzie nervously turned around, a questioning look on her face. Ashley simply outstretched her hand expectantly.

"Give the towel back before you go," she said.

"What?" Mackenzie asked, unsure if she'd heard correctly. "I'll go get dressed and bring it back in one min-"

"GIVE IT BACK. NOW." Ashley demanded, actually scaring Mackenzie with her intensity. The brunette's cheeks were slightly flushed and she seemed like she was... breathing heavily? Mackenzie gulped, suddenly nervous again, but figured walking the ten feet back to her room in the buff was a better option than pissing off one of her new friends. She gingerly unwrapped the towel, exposing her nude form once more, and handed it to Ashley. Then, Mackenzie wordlessly fled the room.

She managed to slip into her room without incident, although Willow was happily surprised to see her still naked.

"What the hell was all that at the show?" her roommate asked as Mackenzie headed directly for her dresser. "I didn't know you like to get naked in front of people!"

"I don't." Mackenzie said, dressing as quickly as she could. "That asshole of a hypnotist wouldn't let me get off the stage, even though I was half-naked!"

"You went a lot further than half-naked," Willow laughed. "So that was like... all legit hypnotism stuff? You weren't doing it on purpose?"

"I didn't do any of that on purpose!" Mackenzie replied hotly as she pulled a shirt over her torso. "Things just got totally out of control!"

"Uh-huh," Willow said, clearly skeptical of her roommate's claim. "Well you're pretty much the only thing anyone who went to the show is talking about tonight."

"Ugh... don't remind me," Mackenzie whined as she crawled into bed.

As far as she was concerned, if she never set foot in public again it would be too soon. As Willow droned on about all the various photos and videos of Mackenzie's naked performance she was finding online, Mackenzie tried to shut her out and simply fall asleep. She thought her prom night was going to go down as the most humiliating ordeal of her life, but tonight's nightmare suddenly called that into question. Mackenzie cringed as she thought of just how many people had been there tonight, all staring at her exposed form. As she slowly drifted off to an uneasy sleep, one that would undoubtedly be filled with nightmares reliving the hellish ordeal she'd been through that night, one question rang through Mackenzie's mind: Why me?
