Mirror Lois

Lois Lane turned the corner and bumped into something soft and squishy. She stared down...into another pair of breasts pressed into her own.

"Oh!" Her voice sounded oddly, doubled. She looked up...into her own face.

The two women each took a step back. In the dim light it was hard to tell, but Lois Lane could clearly see that the woman she had just run into was close enough to be her twin...only dressed somewhat differently. Tight-fitting black pants and a red leather jacket, a black t-shirt cut rather low...and hair in a pony tail rather than hanging free. Other than that, they were almost identical.

"Who are yo—" They both began, then stopped.

Each of them held up their right fists, brains working in tandem. They pumped their arms once, twice...

Lois threw scissors. Other-Lois threw paper.

"Okay, so I'm Lois Lane, reporter for the Daily Planet investigating four missing women, and I just stepped through a mirror." Lois said. "Your turn."

"I'm Lois Lane, blah blah, no mirror. Sounds like a typical mirror universe adventure." Other-Lois nodded her head.

"Like Alice through the looking glass..." they said in unison, then broke down into giggles. Other-Lois reached out and laid an affectionate hand on Lois's shoulder.

"So," the doppelganger said. "Team up, save the women, maybe the world?"

"Sounds like a plan," Lois smiled at herself. It felt weird, but they also felt really...in synch.

Other-Lois bit her lip, hand still on Lois' shoulder. The reporter knew that look. She had seen it on her own face at times...and she had to admit she was a little curious herself.

"I know what you're thinking." Her heart beat faster in her chest, wondering how identical they really were. "It's okay, go ahead."

Other-Lois smiled a thank you, and then her free hand slipped under her counterpart's shirt, fingers sliding along the trim stomach, up over the ribs, finding the edge of the bra...
